Probably time to abandon it as no race result locally has been overturned let alone a protest. Prime examples recently have been Deck The Halls With Holly Watson and today with Cool Hand Luke Campbell on Halatorian.

Slip, I'm one of the first to throw someone under the bus for the whip rule, but after watching the replay of Halotorian I feel there is no case to answer there.
That is fine Flanders as we can agree to disagree, In addition it was my only bet of the day so I shouldn't really complain about it but I had to call it out the way I witnessed it,
From stewards report 16th May: "Jockey J Azzopardi (MYSTICAL MAN) will be interviewed at a date and time to be advised in regard to his whip use in the straight."
Is there any way of finding out if this interview took place and what the outcome was?
Looking at the replay, the heavily backed runner-up (which was beaten in a photo) could have easily protested and been part of history by being the first in the country to be upheld.
The outcome of this will be interesting. The overuse of the whip was significant.
There has already being a couple of Whip protests, that were upheld
There was a deadheat a couple of years ago in Melbourne involving My Yankee Girl and Black Caviars daughter, Invincible Caviar,Stewards intervened and relegated My Yankee Girl to 2nd place after it was found that her rider Blake Shinn had over used the whip before the last 100m
