Kalgoorlie field sizes

West Australian Racing
Kal today has only one race with enough starters to pay 3rd divvy. This must be concerning for RWWA, not just because this is the case today- it is very common for most of the race days out there.

Very few trainers are now in Kal , no riders or staff.

I wonder if it could be in danger of losing allocated meetings in future seasons

No doubt once Bunbury can prove meetings won't be lost during winter months , Kalg on skid row Rwwa closed harness racing associated with field sizes of 8 ,due to tyranny of distance was another reason they put forward in there endeavours to just have Corridor racing in W.A. Bunbury Pinjarra Belmont Ascot.

There was a time if at acceptance time the tote couldn't pay 1,2,3, any race 8 runners that would be in danger of being deleted from upcoming meeting.

It’s ok RWWA will still favour them over other clubs.

Been an old Kalgoorlian, early days meetings are usually small, but this season with track, water & heat problems I think a few are slow off the mark to have horses ready, it will improve sharply next meeting on
