The million dollar race - well the draw and thus the pegs on that GP  Track is everything

Not having a bet in the race , but i think Never Ending has got a sensational draw , the pole horse SOSL is a brilliant beginner , they do like to sit/sprint it , thus it might follow Grimsons horse , or there could be a surprise leader from one of them drawn very wide on the front - because the home straight start gives those out wide a chance to cross

So whatever way you look at it ,that puts Never Ending at worse  3 pegs , and that is a great snipers position at GP especially over the 12 and a half furlongs with you would think alot more pressure in this years race than last years

I think this could be similar to last year, things could change pretty quickly when the arms fold back.

I think Catch a Wave, will launch off the gate, and we seen how quick Kate Gath got Navy Street out last week.

Lavra Joe is the other one, guaranteed to go forward at the start. If the driver times the start spot on, it could cross.

And if they go on with around the 1st bend, Minstrel will be put into it mid-race.

    Should be a great race.

One bet for me on the card and he is well found now so I will be waiting till late or going mid tote and hoping for a drift, R1 No10 Feeling Aces is ready to win a race off a soft pegs run with late splits. Even though he has been crossed multiple times from 1 I thought tonight The Kraken could do enough to hold up, market suggesting rockets horse leads-no real concern if that happens.

In terms if the feature no investment so i will be hoping watching Lavra Joe lights up the arm and brings the excitment to the race.

R9 tonight - I jumped on Ya Better Follow Me off the back of a run behind Vanderbilt, it stuck on really well behind it.

Using that as a form line I would think Im The Black Flash has to be in this up to its eyeballs. I'd suspect a price with a $4 in front of it later so that will be getting me forsure.

A  very competitive race, nothing to complain about that race, fabulous drive the winner. Hats off to Robbie Tomlinson, lost his champ to injury along the way, went and caught a wave and the Gath's have been fabulous ambassadors in helping Rob (Regency Foods) promote their slot like few others did. Hope he was able to watch and if not, he has some nice viewing when he is better.

Minstrel is as tough as we have seen in recent decades, fantastic tough standardbred and Lavra Joe some run after not getting a look in.

Crowd very solid, far from being a sell out but nice to the grass banks inhabited again on a great weather night.

Did anyone else watch Race 1 live

In the early stages of the score up , they had a sensational aerial shot , where you could see behind the Fratentity stand ( which no one ever sits in ) - so you had a clear view of the grassed birdcage area and the horse stalls at the back of it , the enormous amount of spare area they have got , then the aerial shot continues ( thats where the TAB Touch  tab.Com replay of the race commences ) and it shows the enormous area they have got behind the back straight

There is clearly stacks of room for a 1000 track , but of course the big problem with WA Trotting , no one will get off their arrse and do something constructive

Morning all, Talk about heritage listings surely relates to the GP Management and Committee. Interesting article in The Sunday Times  page 49 sports section Glen Quartermain's  Naughty Corner story regarding Wayne Currall being banned from GP for a month for expressing his views to the CEO Michael Radley regarding the non payment of prizemoney to WA Trotting Media Guild who services GP at no charge worth a read members.
