Scary good win in the Karrakatta. Bomber Bill's 1:10.16 race record stood for 24 years and had only been bettered once. That was by Amelia's Jewel who sat off a hot pace (first 600 in 34.2) and sprinted home her last 600m in 34.36 to run 1:09.55.

 Well today Bustling made the running himself and ran 1:09.06 (last 600m in 34.22). Wind strength and direction was almost identical for both AJ and Bustling's KK Plate wins.

 On times I would suggest Bustling wins the Quokka. He only gets beaten 1.2L on raw times but when you consider he would only have carried 47.5kg in the Quokka instead of the 56.5kg, the 9kg has to be worth a lot more than 1.2L.
