Amazing ride by pikey today
only got clear at 150m 
no other jock in this state would have won on that !
And of course pike played it down and said he got lucky 
Considering he is still not fully recovered from he’s broken heel
terrific effort

    Earlier reports from Western Empires last start,report from trainer was he wasn't right said that is why he didn't give 100%,then read in paper W Pike said he is out to make up for poor ride last start,2 different stories :)

    There is no jockey in this state that gets the inside runs and runs through the field in the straight that he gets.

    Wasn't it Danny Hobby in a TV interview that boasted he just shouted $500 or the slang for it particularly in country races for those inside runs in the straight. He may have quoted Esperance and Albany in particular.
