Another "patient" ride by C.Cooper on Snazzler. Sit last and don't go for it until the 200m mark. Could have come to the outside but elected to go in.

she has only had a handful of rides, rodent. just made an error of judgement. i don't punt on an apprentice until they show some promise.

Young mum, travelling to Perth was going to be difficult. Barry's her mentor and experienced traveller. Will take them back over when the Geraldton season returns I think.

Correct Flanders . They have now changed it. Originally said advised trainers to engage a senior jockey for future starts . Sometimes I wonder about who ever writes these reports. At least they spotted the blue and corrected it

I'm reasonably sure they read forums like this (and twitter etc) for their QA

Slow intro stride losing 1L. Became detached from the field passing the 1100m.

When questioned, the rider explained that her instructions were to find a rearward position.

However, she acknowledged that in hindsight, she could have made a greater attempt to

urged her horse forward during the middle stages to stay with the remainder of the field.

    From R7 .  ..(above)
They have to start somewhere & with more time will no doubt
improve ..The more times they go around the better they will get ..
A trainer told me that years ago...

Yes they all start somewhere but they also all finish in a variety of finishing positions

Far too kind. She has had 163 race rides and countless trials. She has ridden 19 winners.
I found it interesting that Khutos ran really well.

Again not to stick the boots too far in to a kid and this part isnt her doing but she had wraps on her like you would never see - the next Pike type thing.

I'm yet to see her ride what i would consider to be a decent race - was one a month or so ago, behind leader, no horse other than the leader anywhere around them, whole straight to get it to the outside and she just kept hugging that fence striaght up the leaders bum till about 2 strides before the dinally realised the 20 or so metres to the right didnt have a horse within cooeee stopping her from going to the outside.

    End rant.

I don't consider that a rant Gilga but more an accurate assessment.
