Five weeks and four weeks - Jnr and Curly

Harness & Greyhounds
Penalties seem about right - however not sure that the persons should be able to determine when the penalty commences (Pikey delayed his in the gallops just recently). If guilty, why shouldn't the penalty begin next day - regardless of "driving/riding engagements" - tail shouldn't wag the dog.
Just saying.

Not commenting on actual penalties but I agree on start dates.....Sorry Mr Chairman of the AFL Tribunal, I did belt that bloke and 4 weeks is fair enough but can I start the penalty after the Grand Final" or "Sorry officer, fair cop, I was 30km/hr over the limit but Ive got a function to attend next week and will need to arrange how to get the kids to school, so it's a bit inconvenient losing my license at the the moment, can I put it off for a month?" Nope.

Any decent form analyst i think would tell you , that re those penalties  Gary Hall is very hard  done by

From memory Warwicks horse at about 20-1 got beaten 94 metres and Halls horse at a very short odds on quote got beaten 34 metres

Warwicks drive , when Kate Gath was over here and drove that horse at about 80-1 - fired out from a wide gate  , immediately took cover - that is that horses normal racing pattern and won the race

In my opinion if that race was conducted in either NSW or VIC ( and i do read those stewards reports ) i think they would have said to Ryan Warwick , given the horses racing pattern , it was a totally unacceptable drive  given that you got beaten 90 metres keeping out the $1.20 favourite and thus 4-6 weeks suspension is appropriate

As for Gary Hall , they may have queried the drive , but there certainly would not have been any suspension

Thats the difference when you actually have a Chairman of Harness Racing Stewards in your state

Thus if i was Hally , i would definitely appeal , and in my opinion the suspension should be thrown out
