Jodie Hallow's filly Queenies Daisy, who has been a bit of a "Facebook Star" from birth with Jodie posting a series of photos along her journey to the racetrack, very impressive first up tonight. Was a stunner of a filly, strong and athletic prior to breaking in and a great advert for Rocknroll World as a sire prior to his demise.

If you haven't watched race 3, call it up. Trigwell Road, out the back early, got checked again, was standing the classy Fat Louie up a huge start but just kept coming and coming....enormous, granted Louie might have switched off when 5 in front turning in but a serious chase from Voak's horse.

Queenies Daisy was an omen bet after the West story about Daisy Pearce being the Queen of Perth.

Interesting watch race 3 Bunbury especially at the start Ashima checked, should have been a false start but missed by the starter so then gets declared a non starter the owner doesn't receive $150 unplaced and driver doesn't get his driving fee. Certainly not the starters finest hour but still gets paid.

The non starter payments, when not the fault of horse or driver, needs amending. If the horse transgresses fair enough, but when it clearly gets checked and the starter says go regardless, then payments should be made.

Race 3 at Bunbury last night did watch the race live , and my only small conflict of interest , i did have $10 in total of Trifecta tickets

Any reasonable astute form analyst would be amazed and dissappointed  the stewards didnt query M Miller driving tacticts on the $23 pop beaten 25 metres  , keeping the lead , he lifted the reins 2-3 times to keep the lead , and he finally relinquished but it took FL the 50 to one on fave  $1.02 the best part of 600-700 metres to get the lead - it worked like a trojan to get the lead

And the proof in the pudding is in the eating , the 1st qtr of the last mile , if you dont mind 27.9 , in the history of pacing at Donaldson Park maybe the quickest 1st qtr of the last mile on record for a 2100 metre race !!!

Im all for competitive racing , like i backed a horse i think it was in a Vic Derby final and it parked the short price fave and winner , but it ran a creditable race , 4th , but it had beaten that fave in its heat so there was a logical reason to keep the lead

However last night , none of the form cards of the other runners gave them a reason to park a $1.02 fave who has got a 1.56 win over 2185 at Pinjarra to its name

Yet the stewards dont even query the drive , what was it 4 weeks ago , 3 2nd row runners in a mobile race at GP  miss the start hopelessly , yet there was no query as to why that happened

These are some of the reasons in my opinion why turnover on Harness Racing is abysmal

Also couldn’t believe it wasn’t queried especially being they had a stable mate in the race, pretty unreasonable to think that drive was acceptable. In saying that Jnr also didn’t need to attack he could of sat in the breeze and beaten it whenever he liked
