Has Michael Heaton been given a spell after his run in with Willie? Noticed he hasn't been doing the mounting yard report or interviews today or last Wednesday. Pretty poor if he has

Not surprised given his comments on Racing Rewind the next day. He tried to be smart by saying he had overstepped the mark and regretted his actions while at the same time having several pot shots at Pike - basically doubling down - which really showed he wasn't remorseful at all.

I'm not defending Pike but you can't tell the stewards you're remorseful and will apologise to Pike to get a more lenient penalty with half the fine suspended and then the next day criticise Pike on radio giving the issue far more coverage than it had in the first place.

He acknowledged and pleaded guilty to improper conduct towards a racing person.

Totally inappropriate for the position he holds, even worse because of the other roles he takes in the game.

But obviously he doesnt resile his position on his opinion. Wasnt a condition of his guilty plea

Appropriate that he apologies for his actions

$2000 is a hefty fine IMHO.

How has Pike been exonerated of any wrongdoing in all of this.from I have read and not seeing it myself. But wasn’t him who come back out of the Jocks room after his initial reluctance to be interviewed

Ask Pike how special he felt when he was forced to leave W.A to be able to ride.

I may have a poor memory but back in the day, perhaps 40 years ago, Stewards ruled Racing with an iron fist. Now they use a feather duster.

It's pathetic how the sport has changed to allow repeat offenders offence after offence without real world consequences.

For organisations such as RWWA who preach shop window dressing to placate non racing interest groups, when presented with an opportunity to tell the entire Industry that verbal abuse by Jockeys, Media employees and licensed Trainers is not acceptable, they again reach for the aloe vera tissues in dispensing appropriate penalties via the Stewards panel who wouldn't make any decision without clear guidelines from RWWA higher ups.

The drug positives are a joke. Why bother testing? The mitigation defence of time since last offence, good character, personal finance pressures (insert of **** clauses)............ give me a spell. It is just cheating and the Industry loses all credibility for the now now attitude and go and be a good boy dispensing of justice.

It is a slap in the face for everyone who is trying to do their best within the rules.

40--45 years rider was requested to dismount at trackwork for a search. He knocked them outta the way as he head off to the carpark. think his first name was Dimmy. .

after looking at the beaten jockeys comments after the Nicopolis stakes looked like Willy didnt want to participate in commenting again. Why dont the powers to be say something too him. Or is he above that or

Pacing. As PP reported one of the biggest nights in Victorian Harness racing and only 11 pre race swabs for 12 races.  Super series swabs down from 57.9% to 8.6%

Hardly if any were from the Emma Stewart factory.
