I’m no statistician - but does anyone else notice the “out of kilter” how many times trainers draw alongside with their runners. Surely there is a glitch in the system (hello!?). Almost every meeting!
It has been apparent for years - the information going into the computerised draws and the algorithms must be examined - shouldn’t the input be just numbers?
For a trainer in a twelve horse field to have their three runners drawn together is 11 x 10 = 110/1 - but you see it regularly. Even two runners to draw together is 11/1 - and then to see it multiple times in a race the odds are astronomical.
Just saying - there are three types of people in this world - those who can count and those who can’t ????

Also races 50k plus are supposed to be barrel drawn.. interesting to know whether that was the case or not.

Draw provides uniformly random data suitable for its intended
application.
BMM’s review of the source code concludes that horses are
assigned barriers with uniform probability, with no information
about the horses taken into account beyond those required as per
the barrier draw rules."
