  • JayJayJayJay    8,085 posts
Hoping it is Bailey but just a guess.

That’s what I was thinking. But isn’t Gian a boys name?
  • JayJayJayJay    8,085 posts
Gian Rooney? Wasn't she a gold medal winning swimmer?

There were a lot of  "Dawns"  after the 1964 Tokyo Olympics.

But I am out of touch, I am from the George and Daphne, Norm and Edna, Bert and Elsie era.

Being an apprentice is a completely different kettle of fish theses days...... Do any of the RWWA apprentice tutors get out and about into the schools getting relative information out to the students?????

Bailey is a young guy apprenticed to Adam Durrant, looks a natural lightweight, given plenty of time to develop. From memory not related to the Ascot Websters.
    Gian is Shaun O'Donnells daughter.

Jay Jay you are excused as Bailey is also a female name.

Hope Gian can make the most of the opportunity the other O'Donnell junior wasted.

    Incredible lack of male participants.

All the best to all apprentices listed.

Am told that Bailey was the only male applicant, reflective of recent trends. No problem with that at all, same at the trots, gender an irrelevance, skill is what counts.

Yep, her Mum is Rachel Wallrodt who used to train (and drive in younger days) pacers before switching to gallopers at Albany. But the exact connection to Cody? With zero disrespect, there are a lot of Wallrodts in the South west

Thank You JJ. I knew you were the one who would know.I am an Easter Stater so my knowledge is very limited to W.A connections..

but Rex after his interview r6 8/1/25 (rommels goddess) said he had 6 or 7 wins until he loses this claims.
  • RexRex    402 posts
Sorry, I didn't see the interview and was going on his finishing date in the racing calendar. Hopefully he will sign on until he has used all his claim. Either way I wish him all the best whichever way it goes.
