Starting from scratch in all Gallops, Greyhounds and Harness should be just standard for all punters, but one doesn't see that the same. One of the 3 is heading for a Singapore moment with turnover down over 20%. The stewards are the ones that they don't follow the rules black and white 

but Friday night they did do a young junior driver but they let Kylie Harper get away for a few years with warnings driving outside the cart and they could of fixed this the same as Friday fine, fine, fine and ten give time, but no they let it go for years with warnings. So now do we see a run up start in the Derby or Pacing Cup for $300 fines (I would do it to get the front from $300 fine that's cheap) You couldn't pay $300 to get the front in a group race but the fine is great.

I think the $300 fine is fair drivers have been doing it for a long time to get an advantage your just going to change the punishment based on one instance

or maybe abolish the leaning outside of the confines of the cart rule, the yanks drive like that with no issue what's our issue with it here

Any contact over there is a Violation, which will result in a fine or suspension or both;plus relegation or disqualification 

Maybe we should use their rules.

American harness racing is putrid, I try to follow a few Oz horses when they get sold off but the style of racing with the strung out indian file, you're half a length in front of me so sure no worries slot in and take my spot nature is painful.

That is why the American carts are ok over there,

But not here ,there is no give,smaller tracks,push out rules etc

Sure the drivers love them,they give a nice ride,you sit higher ,

but safety is a lot more important and we should be protecting our horses.

Locking of wheels is a norm now,

Dont know how many times, Ive seen wheels getting under horses bellies .

Common sense would tell you if the wheels are wider than the shafts you are going to have problems..

well they either need to change the rules or ban the cart simple as that, they also do race on a fair few half mile tracks over there I don't think it's a track size issue

Has there been a better Derby win than Christopher Dance on Friday night? Time was good at 1.56mr (slowish lead time), deep for the last 1200mtres on a small track, inconveninced, bad barrier, ran away from them, no hard luck stories that I could see etc
Sulky app has CD as covering an extra 46mtres as opposed to the second horse which covered an extra 4mtres. His win was LTF like with respect to his dominance.

Not just one there are a couple, but they are the ones who keep doing it, so the fines should go up the more times they do it, until time is given. Like Bunbury with the wipe rules got fines and then time on the same night. The steward's can fix these issues very quickly by hitting the pocket and giving holidays. But only do to the quiet ones. Remember that was a group race and golden ticket to the pacing cup. SIMPLE FIX TURN THE RED LIGHT ON , plus turnover will go up. Check out the fines for jockeys Saturday $100,000. $30,000. $10,000 and 10 meetings.

They weren't $100 to $300.

Plus the $100 is standard to how many times you do it.

Everyone has a good record.

Worth the risk. There is the problem. (small fine)

Interesting no To Fast To Serious in the Pacing Cup field, very good form since resuming with a close second to CR  Friday and form much better than some of the runners, very weird.

very very sure that for most offences that a repeat within a certain time frame does result in an increase in fine/suspension
