Some very small plays for me tonight.

R2 No1 Torpedo Rock EW. Thoight they might take the sit early and get out to flash over them late.

R3 No5 The Mikki Taker. Expecting DeCampo to be really positive here and dominate the race.

R5 No5 Sorridere. Initially thought i'd be on Ok Bommer but just at the prices have swung to Sorridere. Loved the toughness it showed at Pinni, maybe zap them at the start maybe sit up - i'm happy to be on regardless.

R8 No5 Our Sandy Shore BB. Im a knock on Sista Sammy (watch it bolt in now) and really feel some of the horses finishing behind Our Sandy Shore make for much stronger form lines than the other two in the market.

R9 No8 Mikkis Pride. Provided there is enough tempo this one can finish with a bang.

    Good luck all.

Very tough meeting , re punting wise

Settled on Race 2 horse 3 Dalvey Robyn @ $6.50 - its 1st up run here in WA  1.54.8 for 2100 beaten 12 metres and it was 3 wide w/out cover last 500 , repeats that effort in a much weaker race tonight it will be hard to beat

My only knock on it , over East it was just a horse no great form line at all , still owned by the all conquering M W Boots , if it repeats its 1st up run then its got a top chance , but there is no run over East to give you that real confidence it will

Race 9 Number 7 Blaze Coops. Hopefully it leads. Has led before from 7 at GP. When it ran second to Captain Bligh.

(Was Blaze Coops lead time last start at Pinjarra, 38.3, the fastest ever recorded there? Equates to a 26.2 quarter or a 34.7 GP lead time, if my calculations are correct)

Was listening to Tab Radio the other day and The President was on spruiking the Cup.

During which he once again tried to throw out the furphy that Gloucester Park isn't a leaders track its got all to do with tempo.

We've just had a race with a 36.7 lead time followed by 28.7, 29.3, 28.4 home in only 29 which suprise surprise was taken out by the leader beating the breeze horse (massive run) where it was impossible to make ground out wide. These horses started at $5 and $14 so they were not the dominant animals in the line up.

With those in charge refusing to face reality seemingly on any front what hope do we have of anything ever improving?

No witnesses tonight, no pizza and crackers, no patrons. Racing from Cup Week at Addington and Kaikoura before that has been spectacular, absolutely loads of Aussie horses competing and we shift our Pacing Cup to be in competition with them and the Melbourne Cup Carnival.

According to the powers that be, they have never made a wrong call in their life, they are blind to all forms of reality. Tell us what shifting the Cup to November has done for our Cup and turnover and patronage.

To be fair, Bondi is a very good front runner but Aiden tried to make a race of it on the fave and couldn't get near the breeze and gets a QDT. Some will say incompetent drive, some will say at least he tried.....many will will be turned off.

Same President stated in his 2009/10 report whilst the track design has yet to be finalised present indications are that the new track will be 960m in length with 100m radius and 22m wide plus a safety lane with 12% camber on bends. The design will ensure stresses are kept low on the bends and will enable horses to race with minimal stresses.

Northam tonight , in the last race , a very limited race , i think horse number 10 Fireplay @ $11 is well graded , on times and mile rates , and has got some turn of foot when sat back in the field

It has got a few tricks at the start this horse but at the $11 i think it is worth a ticket Each Way

I had a good look at Northam , race by race etc , and one thing i noticed in the 2 yr old , the horse Jay Jay bred , The First Cut , and it was a very nice run on debut , 2nd breezing  57.5 last 800 thats a tidy effort , by Soho Tribeca ( Champion pacer for both M Stanley and K Prentice )  out of Cut Above , who was a very strong mare

Dont know if Soho Tribeca has had many starters at the track , but The First Cut , could turn out a very nice horse

Another good effort ....seems a little bit one paced but very similar both in looks and gait to her Mum, pretty tough. Robbie will have a lot of fun with her....and the next one, also by Tribeca.
