The end of Kalgoorlie?
West Australian Racing
The KBRC have issued a statement saying that next season is in doubt due to water supply issues to irrigate the track. With the club already hanging by a thread. Reliant on one trainer to make up its fields, and the possibility of Pete permanently relocating to Perth if next season doesn't happen. I fear sadly we may have already seen the last race at the historic track

Coolgardie race club has bailed kbrc on another problem to the tune 120k.
This outside race day problems with season running too long plus the bottleneck of meetings at start of season, then the round being busted open then meetings at fortnight intervals pushing the NorthEastern clubs. into hotter months

York trots were indeed around the footy oval. Close and personal alright, the bookies ring was at the end of the main straight, all 90 metres of it, and it was like a coliseum as they came barrelling into the corner. Cunderdin was also around the footy oval but was much bigger, 800m, whereas York was a saucer, less than 600 mtetres.

The deal with the mining company needs an independent enquiry.
If water is the issue why don’t they make it a synthetic track?
