Great play from a club not in the best of shape.

Good days racing too, hope they got plenty on course.

Excuse my ignorance but when did Glenn Simpson ride . And where bush or town mainly?

Craig Wake perhaps one of the most gifted jockeys I witness ride a racehorse. I know he was young and hadn't got all those records but he sat on a horse with such ease in a tight finish and in a day when whips were paramount his hands and heels were superb. Reminded me of a star jockey who did reach the top in Peter Cook

Glenn Simpson rode mainly at the provincials and Albany area....was a very good rider who unfortunately we never got to see his full potential. Was riding around the late 80's .

talking of peter cook reminded me when i was having a drink with ken callendar way back early 80's.
he told the story, peter was on a 5 grand sling in winning a big wfa race.
trainer: great ride, you earned that $5000.
    peter.: its now 10 grand...
trainer: what the eff are you getting at.
peter: i had to spend 5 grand in the run.

P.Cook was so quiet on them it was hard to tell the difference between him trying and not.

Cook, I think is still with us. He was on a Melbourne Cup cruise in November 2024.

Not your smartest conclusion Falcon. Would you say the same about other WA occurrences in recent years?  I certainly am not going to mention them.
