weak as water the bloody lot of them....trainers like spencer, campbell, treffone etc would NOT put up with these heat related cancellations. neither would riders like moore, treen, posner, ingram etc

Not sure where you are "relaxing" Falc but a tad warm in central Perth right now

Ease up turbo. Are you going to strap the horses? Not one person minds except the armchair critics in their air con.
The club needs to make better decision with more haste in terms of when they run the races.

Cant race in summer (heat) cant race in winter (heavy tracks). Seems we look for every reason to cancel something these days.

Falcon with no disrespect intended , as all of the people you mentioned above were exceptional horsemen. But they like your thoughts on the heat policy are relics of a bygone era of racing.

i know there was no disrespect, spink. its just we are becoming so bloody weak, can anybody remember when there was no air-con? we just got on with it.
would they cancel the perth cup if it was deemed very hot? no way...remember time frame..about 45 in the mounting yard....but that was before we got so bloody scared of getting sued.

i guess so flanders. but i can remember the old "ring" under the plane trees. about 30 bookies plying their trade on 35+ days. not a squeak from them...or the punters.
we are now weak as effing pyss...

Lights will never happen. More a point to do with light emission to local residents. Once they find out its lights for horse racing, forget about it. You could only imagine the backlash and groups formed to go up against it. It would be a Karen convention like no other
