Australian Test Team
Sport
Plenty of criticism of the side early in the Australian summer (a bad loss will do that as we hold our cricketers to a higher standard than any other team in Australia). As per usual, age becomes the first point of critical attack, followed by the drones who keep saying "woke" as though they understand what they are repeating from the polemics they subscribe to.
The squad has certainly been refreshed. There is consideration being given to Cooper Connolly to play today at Galle. All 4 first class matches with 0 wickets to his name suddenly has him in line to be a Test all-rounder. If he does play, he will be the 4th debutant in the last 4 Tests played by Australia. The three to date have proven themselves very worthy and are putting pressure on the incumbents (looking at you, Marnus). Fair to say the batting stocks are looking stacked for the next 5 years at least. Now to find a pace bowler under 30 to introduce himself.
