Posted in 2015 and relating to a recent post of mine regarding roughest winners.

Russel Stewart. Early in his career rode an Ascot winner that paid around $175 for 50 cents. I think that is still the record for highest Div. The only one near that price that I recall was at Belmont about 16 years ago.

Piston replied........ Colour Quest was the horse Russ rode that paid the big divvie, beat the odds on Pop National Boy

For me an interesting topic was nightclubs and racing fraternity as I posted this amongst others....

Talking Nightclubs yes I remember Eagle One and another club frequented by the racing fraternity was F Scotts located in Hay St East Perth

In current time now and for Falcon F Scotts Nightclub building along with a lot of that East Perth real estate was owned by Rod Evans

Highest tote div winner I can remember was a horse called Chockito. By Biscay, I think trained by Bobby Thomsen. I think it was a midweek at Canterbury or Rosehill. Paid >$400. May have raced in brown and white checks, the Thoroughbreds of Australasia colours. Late 1980s

I started googling to see what I could find regarding Chockito to jog my memory. I stumbled across a post I'd made in 2011 on this site!
July 2011 "A horse called Chockito, owned by Thoroughbreds of Australasia, raced at Rosehill on 28/12/1988, 1st up from a spell in a 1200m 1mw race. It was well bred being by Biscay out of Sweet and trained at the time by RH Thomsen at Randwick if memory serves me correctly.
To this day, I have never seen a bigger TAB win dividend than what he paid that day.
Anyone care to guess what it was? By the way, I can't actually remember but I do know that it started with a 3 or 4!"

It may have been Chockito though the name doesn't come back to me however if it is the one I recall winning in Sydney around that time it started at at 500/1
