    Was on master Leighton race 6. Kind of disappointed with the lack of vigour used in the last 10-20m of the race.

     Talking about GP - Hayden King had a ripper feature article in Wed West  Aust on Greg Bond with plenty of quotes - one on stable star Minstrel re the 1.25 million Nullabor , which caught my eye

    " His form in the East was superb and now hes back on his tight home track , so at least we know Minstrel gets around that " hah

    Not really a glowing endorsement of the GP track from the states leading trainer , and in fact thats how trainers used to talk in the mid 1960s re the The Royal Melbourne Showgrounds , can my horse handle the tight little track , but that was 60 years ago , but sadly that is the time warp that GP is stuck in .
