Just read the letter Perth Racing sent out,We wanted the new Grandstand,but to costly,wanted to renovate existing stand,but to costly,wanted to do fo something on infield but certain parties didn't come forward as well as the Government,but the new lft will be operational in 2025,wow what an achievement,so nothing's changed that long walk as usual.abd get drenched while leaving and waiting for a can.

I think one of the biggest issues is cash reserves. 

Once the excess land was sold at Belmont Park Perth Racing had a strong bank balance but over the next few years that bank balance continually spiralled downwards.

Perth Racing, formerly WATC, once had a decent property portfolio but alas once those assets were sold the money was easily spent.

Spent a shed load on architect plans and two seperate studies (one conducted by deloitte) highlighting the importance of keeping Belmont as its in the live sport entertainment district…….. dont need to be a rocket scientist or fork out probably over $1m to work that one out but anyway….

The place couldnt work their way out of a soggy paperbag, still all this time on and has the shittiest liquor licensing conditions ever conceived. You cant blame that on bad crowds from Perth Cup dsy circa 2001, its shit management

One day for the sake of the WA Racing Community, I hope someone in Govt holds  RWWA to account for fiddling while Rome burned. 

Nothing mentioned here or in the copious chapters over the last 12 years seems to have hit the sides and stuck. It will never get better I fear.
