    Rail on complete fire.
    Minstrel shits in.
Gotta say the racing is a bit disappointing, when the rail is on fire like this.

    Another leader another soft winner

Great race the Nullarbor, looked like a nice crowd on the grass at least , I think moving the race to that time slot may have worked in regards to drawing a bigger crowd on course

Excellent race, brilliant drive on the winner, just stalked the two leaders who sort of bought each other undone a little bit...maybe.

Plenty of room on the grass for the camels to graze, after the stepped around the empty white chairs.

The drone shots tell no lies. A shocking crowd for a $1.25 million dollar heavily promoted race, absolutely dismal. Maybe 250 of the 53,000 over the river wandered in.

    OPSM sponsoring next years race.

Tess daly of the gallops industry posted a video on her social media and I just say OPSM might be something you may have to look at investing in looked like a pretty healthy crowd going off that but of footage, I mean at the end of the day with the technology we have at our finger tips I don't expect any racing venue to be packed to the rafters just like yesteryear it's just the way things are with the evolution of everything

^ lets see how quokka day at ascot pans out crowd wise.
  • Chopchop43Chopchop43    325 posts
It will be bigger in comparison to the Nullarbor but will it be bigger and better in comparison to previous quokkas?? Consistently big crowds to the races are a thing of the past, even bridgetowns meetings were under large compared to previous seasons

I watched the meeting on the 7plus app, and thought the coverage was very good.
Didn’t look like much of a crowd to me, apart from the main event. Race lived upto the hype in my opinion.
Track seemed like it was very hard to make ground from back in field all night.

Certainly not much of a crowd for such a high profile race which is disappointing.

Hey proof in the pudding just have to have a gander at the social media profiles of some people that were there on the night and you would see the crowd was fine ,I know the people have there agenda with rwwa and gp won't want to accept that and that's fine but it is what it is for this day in age, and no Ivory I actually have a decent job , i just refuse to sit in a forum and watch the same people sulk and carry on with there negativity towards certain aspects of the industry yet bury there head in the sand with other aspects

How nice it is for me, living in an alternative universe, immune to reality and actual facts. A blissful existence where sometimes you just can't consume enough Kool Aid to to cope with the reality of what one actually sees and reads. "Alternative Facts" are now the norm it seems. Off outside to get the spade, time to dig the hole to bury my head in. It's a Jones Town revisited moment reading some posts.

I wonder what propaganda GP will come with if the development doesn't happen.

I mean I did bring actual stat's and facts to you in regards to how Queensland have dug themselves out of a hole and made there industry relievent again , but I guess I can see why you refused to acknowledge them as it would affect your bottom dollar and at the end of the day some people would rather see the dollar signs than the resuscitation of a dying industry

let's face it gp is outdated on so many levels , but if it's outdated and needs to go so do alot of the other tracks , anything smaller than 850 metres with tight corners equates to a giant leader bias problem which creates the issue with short priced favourites in a lot of the racing at those tracks , which equates to diminishing turnover, and so on and so on , can't just blame one track for all of the problems this industry has at the moment like some seem to do
  • warrenrobinsonwarrenrobinson    296 posts
All tracks are leader bias, i was talking about the development :-t

Great to know that you know more about my "bottom dollar" and and my motivation to race horses than either myself, my family, my trainer or my bank manager. A foolish and ridiculous comment.

Great crowd at Warrnambool today and very good coverage on 529.

We don't need crowds any more, no one turns up since technology took over and punters could bet on their phones:

  • Chopchop43Chopchop43    325 posts
Warranambool get a great crowd over there carnival , outside that tho how big are the crowds ??? If Warranambool was such an epicentre of racing how come a former leading WA trainer just closed there stables over there citing lack of staff and disconnection from owners ?? Again this looks like plucking an example out of thin air that tries to back up your agenda without actually having solid facts and figures

without the outer country tracks your money making capacity is affected , that's why you push so hard to keep them open , at gp, pini and bunbury much like most of us your horses are just a number until they find a suitable race or draw , unlike most of us tho who are willing to accept certain sacrifices to ensure the industry remains relievent , certain sacrifices that have been proven in qld to work, you plant your flag in the ground with the notion that anyone who doesnt accept your view on things are nothing but a blight on the industry , no one else is allowed to have a working solution or a reasonable opinion except you , there is no "agree to disagree" , just the assumptions that those who don't agree with you are dumb and that is not that case we are just open to change

Ah bugger, old clever clogs,  you've worked me out, blown my secret for profiteering from harness racing for all to see. Where would the industry be be without such astute analysis? Now that the cover is blown, it's off to the soup kitchen for daily sustenance, I just hope I survive.

Surely you didn't reach these conclusions all on your own but if you did, I dips me lid to your superior insight and financial acumen.

Keep working away on making the industry "relievant", strategies are working brilliantly thus far.

It's hypocritical to believe by shrinking the footprint you grow the industry, this is not my opinion it's based on facts and figures supplied by RWWA & HRA and this has happened Australia wide so as soon as people stop listening to the propaganda being dished out and hold management accountable our industry will continue to shrink.

yous are all pushing for scraping gp , wouldn't that be shrinking the footprint print by doing so ??? Pretty hypocritical
