What sort of money would a maiden bring being sold to the Eastern States ? In fact has this ever happened before ?

Good result for the WA connections.

Would have to be a decent amount, you'd think - seeing as not many people are willing to let them go, without a big carrot.

In saying that though - nothing more valuable than a maiden with ability.

She is Stakes Placed, so much more valuable than a maiden winner - can still win that maiden race (and the $ that goes with) and has the black type on her pedigree (without effect on future opportunities).

and had pretty big upside if you could iron out a few bad traits...

Gets a bump on here, then sires two stakes winners in 5 days - coincidence ? ;)

    "9.1%"

From top of my head - 5% is regarded as good ?

Anyone know what happened to Bam's On Fire ? Seems to have been spelled since one start over East after a break.

Bam’s on Fire won her maiden at Benalla by 5l. Interesting to see where she runs next.

I just brought into a universal ruler colt at the Perth magic millions. What are everyone’s thoughts or exceptions.

Nice page, conformation looks OK.  Beautifully bred but for a 3yo + profile and over a distance. Dan & Ben Pearce are very good Trainers and if this was my purchase I would be suggesting this Colt be gelded and given some time to develop. Universal Rulers are better left alone as 2yo's anyway, if they are going to be any good it will be as a 3yo. I would pencil in an Oaks / Derby campaign for this horse. Good luck, if I'm right, he is a very cheap buy at $60,000 with no GST.
