I like the look of Alfred Noble Tivers. He'll get plenty of numbers that's for sure.

With another Colt born this morning, I think the count's up to 18 foals on the ground now (in just under 3 weeks of the season).

He has had some good mares sent to him in his first season. It will be interesting to see what sort of a foal Wynyard Hall throws. She was a strong looking mare on the track and no doubt she'll throw a nice type.

    Had a filly last night.

Another Colt this morning now brings total to 21 foals born (so on average - one a day for the season)

    Yes, you're right you can't count; 22 in 30 days isn't 1 a day....
Better not get a job as an accountant  :P

    You can't count.
Unless you cheat (serve pre 1st Sept), earliest due date (in non leap year) is 7th August. (340 day gestation)
    30 - 7 = 21

    hmmmmm..............No, Sept 7 got no significance :)

Some more good news today - just passed 60 bookings for this season, so far.
Not too bad for a 2nd year sire, and in what everyone's saying is the toughest season they've ever seen.

    Three more colts over night.
Barring any more later today = 25 August foals

Great result from the Stakes Winners on Saturday......

Perth Stakes - El Rijes : has a brother on the ground by UR
Gimcrack - Darlington Abbey : has a sister on the ground by UR
Roberts - Rohan : has a "niece" on the ground by UR
(by virtue of being DA's "uncle")

    El Rijes' half bro

Good result for UR at yesterday's sale.

Mares in foal to sold for up to $130,000 and at an average of just over $12,500.
Not bad off an average service fee of about $3,500.

Especially when I suggested to a potential mare buyer on Friday that mares at that sale should sell for approx 1/3 to 1/2 of their covering sire's fee
