    No.
Might just get a little more selective on mares though as he approaches fully booked

The UR colt, 1/2 to Darlington Abbey (family of Rohan) bought at Adelaide MM is certainly looking a cheap buy at $34k

No reason why a healthy stallion couldn't serve in excess of 200 mares, many cover in excess of 150 each year in Australia. Blackfriars is the benchmark in numbers in WA having covered more than 150 in two of his last three seasons at stud.

Will be closing his book off at somewhere around or even shy of the number touted above.

Flooding the market at this point could do more harm than good.

Good to see him doing well and may it continue. The test will be whether he upgrades his mares. Three of his four winners to date are out of mares that have already produced stakeswinners to other stallions.

Not bad company to keep when you see those older siblings were by Scenic, Stratum and Snippetson - and you could comfortably say that two of the current ones are tracking ahead of where their older siblings were at the same point. (Being RK and CJ obviously)

And as I always say - if you put a donkey to Redoute's Choice, you still get a mule.

With bookings to stallions almost being done and dusted, today is most likely Universal Ruler's opportunity to bank a stakes winner for the future. I don't know how many will be offered at the 2015 Perth Magic Millions Sale, but their selling prices would also be directly affected by a good result today, and in the weeks to come.
