I remember he had tipped & obviously backed a horse called Lararing one day at Bunno. It finished down the track & called it a "mongrel dog" as it passed the line - that was funny - though probably uncalled for.

Is Jimmy Chadwick still with us ???

Nifty trained a horse that always ran 2nd called Ranshow and i remember 1 day he backed it for the 1000th time and it got nailed in a photo and he said after the race ohhhhh Ranshow he said hwen i die my coffin will get pulled by horse and cart and one of the BLOODY horses will be Ranshow and it will be laughing at me
Wrong horse there Dungy it was Ranson , Ranshow was a good horse Nifty went to melbourne with it ran 3rd at the valley
    No u are wrong legs
    That call was Ranshow
    Remember that call clearly

Would never have Ranshow as a good horse, he won 3 on the trot at Belmont in June, hardly form that warranted a trip to melb. Got lost over there

You are both wrong, it was Rantson

Ranshow won three in a row as a two year old May/June 1991. Thats the only time he won three in a row he won 7 more races & ran 2nd 10 times.

Rantson won 6 and ran 20 seconds,
Sharon Miller got Ranshow going when she got him

Can you get recording`s of old races like that.
I can see $$$ if that is the case.
    Anybody??
I was not knocking the horse, but that was very close to what was said about Ranshow by Stuey, IE / the coffin , and him pulling it.
    can`t remember Rantson or Ranson.

Whatever became of Stewy Shenton who was a pleasure to listen to from a punter's perspective ? We all know why he left the scene but we've heard nothing since then.

Whilst in topic the "vanishing jockey" was it Phil Colombera ???? Whatever became of that story. Was he ever found ???

You are correct with the Jockey, he was the hard man in the jockeys room. And he was the go to man to set up a fix.
Guess he stepped on one set of toes too many.
Rumour has it that he is somewhere between the ocean and Alice Springs.
