The bottom 32 of our top 64 finalists competed on Perth Cup day in two knockout races requiring a midfield or better finish to remain alive.

Only 3 tipsters failed to submit their tips and there were some bold showings in the consolation finals, none more so than the effort of spitz who bagged six winners and tracynorthofmass who has been consistent winning 3 races and placing in 4. 

Surprisingly the 4th placed runner would have won the second Consolation Final, alas that is the nature of the game and survival in the top 8 of each race was all that was required.

Next Saturday poses the first one-on-one knockout finals where those ranked 17-48 will take the stage for their shot at the top 16 the following week.

    I can see you @ 31st on the ranking list....  So, you probably we'rent required to submit last week.  Your still in.

    I reckon that @Gary H and I had the "low scoring thriller". 4 placings to 3. $6.54 to $5.90.

    Couldn't get on the scoreboard for the first 4 races!  (I know, the shorties were too short, or so I thought!).  

    I thought Festive Excess was an omen bet of the day for the new year, and was going to pull me out for the day.  But then we picked the same two LOSERS in the last two races, and it was all over.  Day on the punt was just as bad.

    Had a great day on the punt, including a 4 leg muti Falcon (from 4 selections) and the Quaddie 100% from 10 selections.Yet I got Knocked out by Elitist in a thrill a minute battle by $0.70
