Needs a freshen up, but rather Ritchie 1 day & Mcaullay only one, and no "love fests" between the hosts if you disagree then put it out there, at the moment too "lovey dovey".

they need a talk back segment to keep it honest. They hide behind the RWWA badge too much.

TABRADIO, Western Australia’s home of Racing and Sport, is today pleased to announce its new morning show talent line-up. The Big Breakfast will soon feature a new but well-recognised team of racing and sport credentialed panellists.

Former Melbourne Nine Network news reporter and Sky Racing presenter Gareth Hall will man the morning show five days a week and will be joined throughout the week by fellow panellists Darren McAullay, Steve Butler and Wes Cameron.

Western Australia’s number one racecaller, Darren McAullay will become a regular fixture on Wednesdays and Fridays, complementing his thoroughbred racecalling commitments.

The West Australian’s Reporter-At-Large and avid racing and sport fan, Steve Butler, will join the Big Breakfast on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Former TABradio presenter, Wes Cameron, will return to the Show and welcome the week every Monday.

RWWA Executive Manager Racing Marketing and Communications Charlotte Mills said the Big Breakfast team line up signalled an exciting new chapter for TABradio.

‘A significant review of TABradio has taken place over previous months and resulting change is imminent with respect to talent, content and advertising.’

‘Gareth, Macca, Steve and Wes will provide our listeners with a collective passion for industry and insightful expertise and commentary with respect to racing and sport,’ Mills said.

A number of content changes and new segment introductions will be released in the week prior to the team’s debut on Monday 29th August 2016.

I would like a talk back segment dedicated and titled the "airing of grievances"............. the phone lines in the studio would melt under the volume of calls.

In saying that Falc, really think it should be Richie 1 day, McAullay 1 other, so we get even perspective Gallops/Harness

I'm more interested in what kind of difference they believe these changes are going to make. I can't see it having any real change on overall listeners but likely to bump up program costs.

who has visited a stable between 6am and 9am on a week day and heard TAB Radio on?? I have never heard it on at that time.

So I wonder who their target audience is if the industry participants don't listen??

What type of market Share % do Tabradio Brekky show get in the Ratings surveys ?

I would guess somewhere between zero and 1% of the listening audience. I dont know if they are brave enough to find out.Mcaullay twice a week will stop plenty of listeners. Bad enough Saturday mornings when nobody else gets a word in.

Agree 1 day McAullay 1 day Bell would be far better

personally think 3 days Belly, 1 day Wes and 1 Day Shortte (yes I don't like the way the guy presents, but he has a good coverage of knowledge on sports and dogs in particular) would have been better again!!

Then no Butler ?, think he will be good .  Think Shorty should have been retained for one day, hard gig, think he has done ok over a long haul

Well Butler "could" be good!?!?!?! But with the 3 I mention we know they are good, just stale and boring at times. Having the new host, I think getting a new co-host at the same time was a bit premature.

I only listen for thoroughbreds, but the betting spectrum covers so many sports and areas that I just thought it could be done another way....Integrate Shortte and Belly in with the new bloke and the wily silver tones of Wes to keep it fresh.

All I know is that I will be doing everything I can to tune in on Mondays, and I might even give them a go on some of the other days as well..

I like Ritchie but 3 days or current format was too much for me. I like the new mix up , but 1 less McAullay put R.Bell back in for One

Personally im looking forward to the new line up. Will be something different at least and i dont mind dmac. Hopefully less jockey interviews as they all give the same boring answers and wont reveal to much info if they had any anyway.

I listened the other day and heard more than one trainer say he didnt know what to do with one of their runners....ie right distance...when to spell....etc.

It would seem that most interviewees fit into a few categories.

You have the trainers that air their grievances and get pulled back into line quick smart

Then you have the 'yes' trainers that just answer with one word, not giving away any real truthful opinion.

Wes and Richie are the only ones (hosts) that often adlib and say what they think.

The show needs a real freshen up, but if the show isnt allowed to 'breathe' it'll fail once again.

I would like to hear more commentary like Arthur Cooper from France....blunt and truthful....he does the race calls amd form analyst for the french races at Compiegne....funny stuff
