Lob City for Sale

West Australian Racing

3yo Filly 8 Starts $161,000 stake earner

By Vital Equine out of Yellow Moon Lob City raced 8 times
in her first campaign as a 2 year old. She never finished further back than 5th
and won 2 Saturday races. In her 2yo season she defeated WA Champion Fillies
winner Art Series ($429500 in stakes inc West speed) as well as Salubrious
($187800 stake winner inc West speed).

She has been enjoying a long spell and is ready to come
back into work to attack the end of the 3 year old season and the West speed
Platinum races on offer for which she is qualified.

She is sound, has no vices and has a good temperament.
You could go the sales and gamble or you could purchase a known commodity with
performance on the board. Put a syndicate together and have a Saturday runner
in 12 weeks. Owner is leaving the industry.

$40k ono. Call Peter 0409880351

If it’s the same owners/silks as Princess Power then it could be a good mate of mines old man but there are a few involved in said horses

Simon is cashed up  due to his efforts over the past couple weeks -months , cant understand why he would not be considering purchasing her

Westspeed Platinum... extra $32,500 for winning a race... on top of the new prizemoney of $41k for a Saturday race.

If you think it can win another Saturday race, its defs worth the punt.

Now Simon Miller has left Aquinita and gone out on his own. If he thought it could win another Saturday race, there is no way known this horse would be advertised for sale on this forum. He would have purchased this himself and syndicated out.

Well you have addressed that elephant sitting in the room Jum

Think most forum members or the members that have posted on this subject would most probably be thinking the same as what  you have said Jum. Most probably not the best place to place a advertisement about a horse for sale considering the way most of us have looked at it. In saying that good luck to the sellers , and even better luck to the new owners

Nothing untoward with the horse or the process of sale, he wants to get out, so just offering it for sale where horse owners visit online. I think its the last time he will offer one on here though. We are all skeptical when it comes to someone offering a horse for sale, because who would sell a good horse that has ability like Takeover Target for example? Owners only keep the "good ones" and sell the crap...... Well we all know what happened in the case of TT!

you cannot compare anything to TT, para. that only happens about once every 2 centuries...if then!

In an era of declining quality in broodmares, a filly that has won twice on Saturday's and more than $160,000 in the process, is worth considering just for her broodmare potential alone. She would be a very good cross for non Danehill line Stallions here including Demerit, Sessions, Oratorio, Snippetson, Trade Fair, Lucky Street, Universal Ruler or Gingerbread Man to name a few.

You may even regain some of your purchase price prior to retiring her later this Winter.

Like the add says, it's not the worst spend of $40,000 or ONO.

its just the point i was trying to make. For more realistic comparisons how many winners has Bob sold? Plenty, at a guess.

Bob is an entirely different kettle of fish...he, like other huge owners, has to cull his team so naturally some go on to win good races.
i'm sure he is happy for the new owners for any success they may have.
  • paraleticparaletic    3,750 posts
but not everyone can be Bob, but that doesnt mean he isn't allowed to sell his horse. Take the add down Diva nobody here is interested.
  • HotJulesHotJules    226 posts
If you are interested just get it scoped. Damien actually made some valid points. If it is advertised with no ‘vices’ is ‘sound’ and has a good temperament might be a bargain. If I wasn’t sending the eldest to boarding and travelling this year I would be keen.
  • DamienWyerDamienWyer    7,660 posts
I should have also added that she is the type of broodmare that gets stock into Day 1 here in WA of the main sale.

It's a no brainer for mine.
