Winner of 2 and placed twice from 5 starts in NZ.
Jnr drove him a couple of times in NZ when he took Chicago Bull over.
Last start ran 10th in NZ Sires final beaten 18m by Ultimate Sniper in 1.52 and change

What an outstanding drive Stephen Reed - Kiwi Legend. Pity he doesn't drive more often - one of the best. When he does get behind them - 99% of the time gives 'em every chance.

A horse in that race will pick up a race in the right company - punched daylight, fought on ok - Smackwater Jack.

A few drivers asleep at wheel in that race! For the the winner to gain the front within a lap off 70m and only rate 2.04 doesn’t say much for the rest. After the winner was rated so cleverly in the middle stages I thought the second horse could have gone a bit sooner to give him a fair chance.

    Funny race that one.
Thought winner may have been gifted the race as he is a class above all of the others. Having said that always hard to win off that sort of mark.
Looked to be beaten half way down the straight then kicked again.
Sign of a very good horse returning to his best.

Yes freo hes a very talented horse but didn’t need to be anywhere near best to win that race given how well he was driven n how underwhelming others were

Forget this business of Kiwi Legend off 70...the single front row horse was off 20 and most of the field was off 30, 40 and 50.

Think the 70 metre handicap put a few punters off - it wasn't quite like that. Compact Rocket was off 40 metres! Goodness gracious and came within a whisker of leading!

Still needed a smart drive behind Kiwi Legend and Reed did the rest.
