Also if they talk of the "Leigh Matthews Principle" of you can score a goal every minute one more time.....teams 6 goals behind with 6 mins to go and commentary trying to keep the game "alive" with the Leigh Matthews principle. Pulllllllease.

As soon saw before the game Claremont were $1.30 thought well there gone! Ridiculous short price against a team of that talent. Also not forgetting it is Claremont.
Black Ducks were slight underdogs and got the job done.
Bulldogs devoured the Sharks.
Not much between Subi - West Coast - Claremont, then 6 lengths back to Perth and South and that's it.
Peel capable on there day - good luck backing them. Terrible team to bet on - or against sometimes.
Cardinals - Black Ducks next best.
Two of the best and most traditional clubs East Fremantle and East Perth to fight out the wooden spoon - quite sad that two great clubs are way down the bottom.

Had a good first season at Gold Coast but then back to $ubi. Would have snapped him up in a blink if was a Victorian AFL club.
Luck and opportunity goes along way.

No retirement looms for the Lions - they can't stay unbeaten forever ( can they?!! ).
When they get rolled I want to be in at the ground floor getting on!!
Danger game against the Black Ducks at Basso this week ?
Probably not - but perhaps ( maybe on a wet day ) Bulldogs at Freo or the improvers Perth at Lathlain, definetly Claremont are capable as is West Coast.
$ubi remain unbeaten in 2019 - some team will surprise and cause a boilover one week - it's a case of when.
Tigers did go very close last season - final margin under a kick.
The other just shows up, no problems with that, results not that important - good let them be.
A team with that many afl listed players losing by 11 goals, goodness gracious.
People forget that when Eagles combined with East Perth it was domination - mainly because EP at the time also had many top WAFL footballers - blokes that weren't far off AFL themselves, then add the Eagles guys to that list and premierships were flowing like a river.
The best thing in the WAFL was the reverse draft - whereby AFL listed players were allocated to the bottom clubs first.
Eg. clubs down the bottom like Perth would get first pick.
That was fair, equitable and a great idea - that's probably the main reason it didn't last.
Dockers and Eagles didn't like it - and they won.
What destroyed the fabric even more was when blokes like Hutchings a WP stalwart had to play for EP.

Two sides to every story but surely as a reigning Fairest and Best winner at East Freo then that's where he should still with a compromise worked out. He also won two F & B's at Subiaco.
Swan District's quite happy to take him on and hope he does well.

However doesn't it decimate the WAFL even more ? Then again if 5 or 6 blokes were taken from $ubiaco that might be a good thing!
Not sure how this AFL mid season draft works - but if Claremont lost Bolton that'll be a massive loss for them and will find it difficult to win the flag without him.
Think reading between the lines he was popular with his Shark teammates - through his job ( that's his career and life for along time to come ) finds it difficult to attend all training sessions - to me if a teammate - so what! I'll see you Saturday George!
Bit of a difference too VK between Subi and EF - the Lions had another "50" guys in depth - the Sharks really couldn't afford to give away a such a good player.
If they didn't kick 7.28 or something like that in the 2014 Prelim Final against Subiaco, they would probably have beaten EP a week later in the GF in atrocious conditions - the same way Subi did.
Malaxos did a lot better at Old Easts that many gave him credit for. Put it this way - since he was booted - they've been deplorable.

As my old man use to say...they wouldn't know s/?!t from clay!
Thank goodness the Perth Demons have breathed some life into the competition. The WAFL should be very proud of the fact that East Perth - ( West Coast ) Peel Thunder ( Dockers ) $ubiaco have dominated the Premierships.
They continue to make a mockery of it. Also some of the jargon the WAFC use today - are they serious?!!
Looks like I've fallen for the three card trick because that's typical Claremont. They should've done much better last season and only early days so far but under achieving in the big games again.
South Fremantle to knock over Subi this week and become a genuine Premiership threat!
Think have underestimated the Bulldogs. Still have some experience and the youngsters look ok too, always have good footballers coming through South.
If there ever going to get close to the Lions then this weekend at the Port might be it.
