Not many QDT in the initial results
Maybe the stewards are liking more competitive racing???

Stewards report Pinjarra not even a question of drives race 4 and race 6.
The stewards are out of control, something has to give and will, eventually it will come out.

Well at least Pierre Whitby(GP, race 4) didn't break like the last three times Jocelyn Young drove it. She did get caught napping with a lap to go. Might be one to watch if Chris Lewis is driving again :-\"

Was on course and I’m fairly sure they were called into the room, so not sure why nothing in the report.

Middle of winter ..... 6.45 pm WST start and 10.15 last race Northam tonight.
Will be 0 degrees by race 3 .....two men and a dog will be on course.
Sky 2 up to race 3 then Sky 1 from race 4 onwards ( 10.15pm EST)
Punters in WA and East will be ko'd by then

Diminishing turnover is the Number 1 issue in WA harness .

Scheduling like the above will hardly boost the figures and has been in place for decades

Clearly an issue where product management to optimize return needs a rethink....has nothing to do with the product itself although at the end of the day the product invariably cops the blame.

Those 2 men and the dog deserve medals

Just gone 6.30pm - ive been watching the trots on the tv - and i thought whats happened to Northam - has it been washed out - 6.46 start - you have to be kidding - in this weather

Bathurst - where i can tell you it is horrendously cold in winter - they will start at 5pm no later - should be all over all over by 8 oclock

I couldnt think of a much more uncomfortable places to be - than Burwood Park at 10pm tonight - even if you had a pocket full of cash

@cisco salutes again with Beltane, out of "Lughnasadh" .....some certifiably crazy relatives of JJ's tribe reliably inform me that (a) it is pronounced lunacy and (b) that is an ancient gaelic festival celebrating the beginning of a "rich harvest"......good times ahead Cisco.

Was talking to Bill ....Theycallme Stooge is a relation to Village Kid through Totara Valley ...has had leg problems but is a sharp sit kicker according to him. Gets plenty of beach work....rain hail or shine

A fairly distant relation, Totara Valley is the 4th dam....but it is a family with some very decent horses....both Dontfencemein and Larado were top horses and brothers to Maple Valley, Stooge's mum. Isn't it fantastic that Bill still attends Northam on a less than favourable weather night to watch his horse go around in the last? I shan't complain again!!!

There appears to be a conspiracy between the participants, the stewards, Sky Racing Producers and to a lesser extent the Clubs to move WA harness racing to Sky 2 on a permanent basis.

I suppose i should put this on the AFL Forum - but im not because im going to use a Trotting analogy

Talent wise the Brisbane Lions who are on top of the ladder ( unbelievable ) =  Rhetts Law

Most of our race card at GP last Friday Night was bumped to Sky 2!

If that masterclass of a drive by ACL doesn’t win the drive of the week on In The Gig I will walk to China and back!
Shannon deservedly won that honour last week for his superb steer on Son Of A Tiger.

Mad robber last Friday night took no part in score up from barrier 1, stewards report driver blamed pins not fitted causing horse to gallop.Trainer fined $500 for not fitting pins no action taken against horse, remains in draw.
No gear changes reported for this race in notifications, replays show horse doesn't appear to have worn pins for past 5 or so starts.
Just another example of incompetent stewards.
Either that or they just can't be bothered.

Shorteners don’t need to be put in until after the prelim, if they are on the listed gear it should be on the driver to fit them after prelim. Most drivers don’t check what gear should be on the horse they are driving

The t Lewis enquiry conclusion is an interesting one.the stewards where not fully satisfied with the explanation for the drive however there were insufficient grounds/evidence to sustain a breach of the rules.surely the replay is evidence the horse was not given every chance?

Scraping the very bottom of the celebrity barrel I fear.....outcome was a loud blast on the whistle and "Tiger, enough of this gate 1 caper, go to gate 9, immediately, do not pass go" lol.
