If WA win today, they will qualify for the final on November 26.

I don't know why WA chose to bowl first either when their strength this season has been batting first and defending totals (4 times, 4 wins). WA lost 7/24 in 28 deliveries to end up losing by 26 runs.

Pretty poor showing from a team that is meant to be ranked #1 in T20s (although their recent form hasn't been good, only one win and one no-result in ten T20s this year and lost 3-0 to SL, who we recently beat 3-0). Lucky for Pakistan, that first T20 was abandoned at the SCG (after we were dominating), otherwise we would have overtaken them at the top of the rankings.

Points System
120 points are allocated per Test series. A win is worth 120 points divided by number of Tests in the series (60 for 2 Tests, 40 for 3 Tests, 30 for 4 Tests and 24 for 5 Tests). For a drawn Test, each side gets a 1/3rd of the points.
This season, when WA have batted first, they have won all five times. When they have bowled first, they have lost both times, including the game vs QLD at Carrara, when chasing 269, were 3/218 and then lost 7/24 in just under five overs to lose by 26 runs.

QLD: Bryant, Khawaja, Renshaw, Heazlett, Street, Peirson, Wildermuth, Neser, Steketee, Kuhnemann and Stanlake.

When he made that ODI century for Australia (146* off 117 balls v NZ at Eden Park in 2017), I think he was only 5 off 20 balls, then 14 off 35 balls. By memory, Australia were 5/54 (chasing 287) when he came in at #7, ended up losing by just six runs. Hazlewood and Stoinis shared a 54-run partnership for the last wicket, with Hazlewood not facing a single delivery!
The required run rate isn't an issue, WA just need to not lose wickets.
WA 3/109 (26) - Marsh 58* (68), Stoinis 27* (57).
WA 5/133 (30) - Marsh 67* (78), Green 0* (2).
