Just on this, jocks definitely need rides to learn, but whats the thought process in being told to be midfield, but then coming out last and refusing to show any urgency at all and not getting the horse anywhere near being told to? Had ample opportunity to improve position for such a long time, but just refused to, how do you address that as a trainer?

Was getting laid like there was no tomorrow on betfair, out past 6$ on occasions, even managed to get over 2$ a place, seemed to perfectly reflect the lack of urgency in the ride. But the horse was obviously flying, so the laying was purely jock related.

As a side note, they were laying Staaden harder than bricklayer in Bahgdad so clearly the massive lays get it wrong, 185k matched on betfair in the win pool for that race. Massive numbers for a Gero maiden!

It was from the 600m to the 400m where the race was lost. I don't necessarily accept that the horse would've been able to take up a more forward position prior to that. The issue is how does the jockey get the horse to tack onto the field without scrubbing its ears off to do so? Because from the 800-400m the horse is getting further behind and the jockey hooks wide instead of taking a short cut on the home turn and playing for luck...which was the only winning option at that point.

Never seen a race club /track get so much attention regarding riding scrutiny and or stewards scrutiny (or lack there of).
Note Jade didnt ride there yesterday. After her adventures the meeting prior didn't seem that surprising or am I just being mischievous ??
Not in the inner sanctum of horse racing so excuse my lack of research on her commitments.

185k matched on Betfair for a Geraldton maiden that is massive!
Tabcorp should've run its own exchange.

185k matched on the race or on that runner?
