Belmont 15/7/20.

West Australian Racing
Warwick Farm is already called off due to Covid cases prevalent in that direct area/danger zone.We are pretty lucky here long may it stay that way.

Probable we will race in mid range Soft going i didn't see lots of rain forecast? Shouldn't get to heavy hopefully.

Chris Graham returns tomorrow and has a decent book of 4 rides could easily notch a winner from them..wish him good luck.

Boosted More at the opening quote of $3 whom is on the quick back up, she was strong late the step up in trip should suit.
A fair few favs should salute throughout the day, I think with even luck "banker" Billy Ain't Silly notches his first win for Col Webster R3.

R1- MY HIDDEN JOURNEY has been really good so far this prep and looks capable of improving further third up. Trialled really nicely in the soft before a solid run from the back of the field over an unsuitable 1000m trip. Really caught the eye last start when flashing late for second in a handy maiden and now gets to 1300. Seems to appreciate the soft tracks and Pike on is always hard to ignore. He could find himself a long way back from the draw but has a strong turn of foot.

R2- QUEEN BROWN returns to the races after showing promise in her first preparation. Hasn’t finished out of the placings in three runs including a first up second to Dom To Shoot which should see her hard to beat at the midweeks. Trialled nicely behind a couple who look to have ability and 1200 is a good starting point for her as she will likely be looking for further as she progresses on. She may have to go a long way back from the gate or risk being deep the trip but represents the class in this field.

R3- BILLY AIN’T SILLY comes into this off the back of a good debut performance in a strong Saturday race. Finished between All Day Session and Bumper Humper and both of those gallopers have run well since including a victory from the latter. His trials before the run were outstanding and from barrier eight may try and roll forward and sit on top of the speed where he may be better suited. Should have taken some improvement from the run and looks hard to beat.

R4- SWEETASSA has looked a much stronger horse this campaign when rolling early and having a bit more left at the end. Won in good time first up and did it soft before being narrowly beaten in a nice 3yo race behind Wine Night. Like the month between runs for a jump and run filly like this and the claimer going on is another positive to help her run to her strengths. This looks an easier race than last start and with a few more positives should be able to capitalise on that.

R5- FALSE STATEMENT looks suited in this grade having won in it first up and loves the rain. Struck a similar field to this first up before running midfield behind She’s Enchanted and Miss Frost on a Saturday when very wayward and Double The Pro in a strong 0MWYL race. The form out of both those races has been stacking up well and he finally draws a gate here. Has raced handy to the speed in the past so if he can jump with the here and race just behind the speed he can go close.

R6- AMELIA BEDELIA has contested two fast run races first and second up and finds a race where the tempo may be a tad more relaxed here. Looks like being able to come across and sit outside Lil Red Bikini and from there they can control the race. Is having her first go at 1200 but looks very capable of handling third up with a nice run in transit and with the 3kg claim from Corver. This race looks like a good option for her on her way through the grades.

R7- Best Bet: POSITION OF POWER is a progressive horse who, after three quality runs on Saturdays is making a return to the midweeks. Built into his campaign nicely first and second up over unsuitable trip before winning at 1400 in a handy field and this doesn’t look any harder. Got a good run in transit last start but looks like finding another one from barrier three here and just needs to reproduce the last run to be awfully hard to beat.

R8- BLUE HORSE had her first go in class one company last start after racing in exclusively harder since breaking maiden status and was really good. Finished runner up behind Heaven’s Gift who looks smart and beat a subsequent winner in Queen Takes King. Clearly has the ability to win a race like this after being consistent in Saturday grade and back to 1400 in a race without much speed should suit. Loves the wet and is good value in a race like this.

Correct you are mate rode 3 which were well out of the market I honestly didn't even notice his mounts, to be fair 2 were 100/1+ and in races Windstorm and Levitate were in..
Tomorrow he rides better animals two with decent winning chances.

I think Saturday sun resented being in between horses last start. Stack of pace in this and I hope he sits out the back and comes down the outside with one swooping run. Will go very close.

Later I think Position Of Power wins and in the last which is a tricky race, last start winning times at Northam favour Our Insider but the form of Smith's runners today doesn't.
Therefore Zip Zam Zoom for me, hopefully zips home again for Jade and The Italian Job is maybe the class runner go Chrissy Graham!

Good ride Madi Derrick just too strong late..i had a spec on Yuill's mount too but Madi refused to let the senior rider dictate to her and it won her the race.

Very sad end to Sweetassa. Started wonderfully well and led a merry dance. Suffered a bleeding attack near home and faded to finish 4th. Banned after two bleeding attacks. A really promising type.
