Noted his first up run in the Winx on Saturday. Got lost and spat out the back at a crucial stage, but loved the way he finished the race off. Ran past Master of Wine who has had a lot written about his Spring hopes,

Had a little ew prepost bet on him in the Caulfield Cup @ $51 and $9. Will watch the rest of his prep with great interest.

Running 2nd up in the Chelmsford on Saturday, important jockey change with Avdulla on.

    $6.00 currently.

Didn’t show the same zip today, second up syndrome? Definitely looking for 2,000m plus. Going to stick with him.

Up to 2,000m tomorrow with another change in jockey. The now much maligned Hugh Bowman rides him.
Down in class to a Group 3, a strong run needed to justify a trip to Melbourne.

Yep d day tomoz, Hughie has ridden him many times steered all 4 runs of last campaign, however is probably not at his peak atm.

Looks like he needs 2 miles and maybe a softer track, just couldn’t quicken when they sprinted. Found the line ok when he finally got wound up.

I’m sticking with him (again). Runs in the Metropolitan on Saturday, drops to 50kg, Up to the mile and a half.
James Innes Jnr riding, not a bad booking. Beautifully drawn in 4.
Given where the horse sits in the order of entry for the Cups, a win on Saturday and a penalty would help its chances of getting a start.
Having said that, if it doesn’t run a big race, you’d think the Cups are beyond him.

    Ya given up Squid?

Pikey on tomorrow won the race last year with a peach of a ride I think he can replicate again.
Horse may have preferred the sting out where I think its gonna be a good 4 but looks winnable as long as he gets cover..win, small penalty and in he goes if he is not there already(25th atm, or 26th with Saturdays Flemington winner added in).
