Sydney New Year's Eve. No more than 5 people allowed at a gathering.

Sydney Test Match and 24,000 are allowed to attend.

    Insanity!!!!!!!!

These state premiers are making it up as they go along.

30.000 have attended football and rugby games. How many covid positives? Nil

Today the media reports (and those w****** have plenty to answer for) after 30 to 40 thousand were tested in each state Sydney report 4 new covids and Melbourne 3. The borders are closed with dramatic overreactions. 4-3 is a soccer result not a devastating pandemic result.

    Dictatorial twats.

How does someone travel from NSW to VIC, know they're from a hotspot and yet still, instead of going home to isolate, go out and eat at a restaurant? This is why there are restrictions. People are selfish and not too bright. The lockdowns have worked-without them we'd be like the US or UK.

The funny thing is @oldhendo they could have had 30k crowds over here plus the massive TV audiences that help with their next TV rights deal as Perth is always the most watched Test being in primetime on the East Coast not played in the middle of the day when most people are at work over there, but that is Cricket Australia logic for you....they make the AFL & the WAFC look like great sporting administrators in comparison and that takes some doing!

Will Pucovski looking really good. Looks really composed and really relaxed. Has a pretty good technique too. He could be a successful opening batsman for Australia for at least the next 10 years which is what Australia have been looking for.

    We’re Gold Standard over here. Your premier probably blocked the rain out becos it was a cold front moving across from the Eastern States 8-}

Dave Warner was selected even though he was 50% fit at best. WTF
He scurried thru for a single and was struggling to run. Not striding out as his damaged groin wouldn’t allow.
When he got out he did not get his foot to the pitch of the ball. (that would have meant him striding to the pitch of the ball which his injury would not allow him to do)
His selection was a “boys club” decision and an extremely selfish one by him.
All I have seen of Warner before and during this test is him smiling etc.
He couldn’t care less about putting Australia first.

What like disgustingly racially abusing young visiting International cricketers?

Agree VK uncalled for. Once again the minority spoiling it for the majority. Those blokes they ejected must feel like complete mugs . Being told to leave on national tv

Must be interstate visitors stranded by the border restrictions. Sydneysiders are better behaved than that. =; O:-)

Some of the dumbest bowling I have ever seen on display today.
Have consistently bowled way too short, have barely pitched it up to even see if it is reversing or attempted any yorkers.
Just plain dumb and not helped by Paine's poor catching and captaincy.
Well done India who have showed real ticker to hang in all day, despite injuries and some uncalled for abuse from the Sydney crowd!

That's the longest India have batted in a 4th innings since 1979.

Good place to get in and out of semi regularly. Far from the greatest City in the world though.

We laughed at COVID while the rest of the country-and world-cowered in fear. We will win. We ALWAYS win.

Steve Smith in a bit of froth 'n' bubble for altering a batsman's guard yesterday. Are we going to have to endure another pathetic tearful press conference apology?  [-X L-) :((

I started watching the final day of the test on seven. Ponting Gavaskar Blewett etc. probably 3 hours.
Then I decided to watch it on Fox and got Warne, Howie, and the other Indian commentator.
    I lasted 5 mins.
It almost appeared that Warnie was trying to make amends for his crap off air.
And the stump cam microphone made it almost unbearable. Shut the f*** up for christ sake.

Same old ugly Aussie cricket team in the news for all the wrong reasons.
The captain (who dropped 3 catches) calls his own unscheduled press conference to apologise for his own behaviour. WTF
