After Talledga blowing them away in HK recently, the spotters are out n about. Top Of The Pops (subject to Vet) is on it's way. After 3 offers for Otheroneson a 4th offer was knocked back. Owner just wants to enjoy the wins, money ? he's got enough

    some folk seem to go weak at the knees when HK racing is mentioned.
    whats the prize money of those everyday races you see on racing.com?
    is it because prize money is "nothing" to those wealthy owners where the prestige of winning a race is the objective?

    jeez, i had no idea of the prizemoney. i guess the answer is a state run tote only system that would generate hundreds of millions.

    The answer could also lie in that they only have 88 meetings per season

    In 6 starts this season Beauty Joy (Talladega) has earned HK$6.5m
    By my math in AUD is circa $1.2m
    Only one of those races (most recent) was Black Type.

    Talladega sold for 1.4mil.?----Ima singleman sold for 800k.---- Talladega 6.5m h.k. includes the conversion of  1.049,150 hong kong dollars  he earnt in Australia as well?

    Imagine if gambling was heavily regulated and people had minimal options, one of which is betting on the gallops through the tote.......
     If that were the case here, our pools would be huuuge.

    I think Top Of The Tops will be staying in the West. Owners don't need to sell but you are right Piston, offers have been there.

    Just won again, i would say is the most promising horse in honkers.
    All started at a Narrogin maiden On debut. Is he the best horse to ever start his career at Narrogin?

    Anyone cop it's win last Sunday in the Premier Cup? @-) Purton was close to pulling it up, still clearly last turning maybe 8 to 10 lengths off the leaders finishes off in 21.8 and wins by a length!
    Another few hundred grand tips into the kick at a guess(didn't check the prizemoney for the race).

    A$650k for the race, so about half a brick (round down to $400k) for the win

    Couple War Chants IN HK. --- Apache Pass done near fore tendon Nov 2020--- has made it back to win three of his last seven starts.-----Other one was War Room Unbeaten in three W,A runs for D.Mcauliffe but retired winless after 13 runs.H.K.
