the key is that most of the rain (forecast) is for this morning and not later this arvo or this evening... then virtually none tomorrow

If the forecast is right... then they'll race, especially at 21m.

Inauspicious debut by Durrant's, he was the first horse beaten.

Inauspicious debut by Durrant's, he was the first horse beaten.

    Might need 5200 and 30 hurdles I reckon  :-j

Ultimate plodder. Absolutely no finishing speed in its trial. Debut as a 4yo at 1700m on a heavy track was a dead giveaway that it's a plodder.
Compare it to its full sister Verry Elleegant who debuted as a late 2yo finishing 2nd at 1200m before winning at 1400m at start #2. Went on to win a G3 in Melbourne in that same first prep.

For him it's change he found under his couch cushion. Needs to go east as it needs another lap. If it stays in W.A will get moved on.

The Maher / Eustace stable are the ones to follow over there, has it been a while falc or don’t follow the jumps racing that closely lately

Affluential------     Had a norton bit on which  is generally used for hard pulling horses. By the look of his race today he couldn't pull the skin off a rice custard. at this stage

the m/e stable, like wallers is almost too good to be true.
all i can say is that they must have a virtual army of horsemen at the top of their professions, by that it entails trainers ( not licenced but could be), dietitians, vets, farriers and a string of other essentials.
there is NO way stables that size can exist without that "army".

Maher/Eustace have 570 horses on the books without ones at pre trainers

You’re one the preaches about reading the stewards reports falc… read up on its last start, only beaten a couple lengths, decent jock jumps on for the first time, two wins on soft going and a pretty even field racing on a heavy 8 would be the reason it’s so short in the market

570 on your books....how in the hell could you have a handle on even a small %age of them? you would not have a clue if you had a "nugget" in that lot.
