50,000 at Optus this afternoon. Not bad for a team who is trying to avoid the wooden spoon.
Obviously the JK factor but that’s how we show respect to our “premiership” champions.
Atmosphere was electric in the last qtr when JK kicked his eighth and then his mark going for number nine.
Not much to cheer about this year but today felt pretty good….even in defeat.\:D/

Matthew Nicks press conference said it was the loudest crowd he has experienced behind Adelaide Oval. He also said he was proud of his players in the last qtr thwarting the Eagles when we were coming and considering the noise of 50,000 which he described as incredible.  =D>

the birds looked very tired. the only one to show a bit of spark was young rioli who has been on personal leave and resting under the palm trees.
putting it into a racing perspective, those feeder goals to kennedy would result into an enquiry of team riding.

Ladder predictor with two rounds to go.
Most games look pretty straight forward for top eight. Bar one Sydney V Collingwood this week I think.
If Pies win Freo finish 4th. If Sydney win Freo finish 5th.
Now it gets interesting, if Freo finish 4th they face Geelong at GMHBA, after losing that they face Melbourne at Optus.
If they finish 5th they miss both Geelong and Melbourne and play Carlton at home, Pies & Sydney to get into GF.
Long story short, why would any team want to finish 4th and face off against Geelong at GMHBA.

Not sure how you come to that conclusion Detto.

Finish 4th and you get the double chance.
Didn’t you beat Geelong at their home ground earlier this year ?
Back yourself in. Western Bulldogs played all their finals away from home in 2016.
Sounds like the white flag to me. :D

I see another Josh Kennedy is retiring......losing two in a week is bordering on negligence. Both great players, Sydney Josh has also been a joy to watch.

Bruise free Derby on Saturday night.
Shame nothing hinges on the match. Percentage not an issue for the Dickers either because of their draw with Richmond.
The game will be old fashioned "circle work". I-)

Chance for your team to practice some forward drills Freo. Unfortunately we are the slowest team in the AFL and your pace will slice us open.
Emotional letdown for us which Homer has already conceded.
My spies are telling me "Flyin Ryan" has already been getting stuck into the KFC this week. =))

I thought Tim Kelly was very unfortunate to be suspended for what was an aggressive tackle, no more, no less.

I saw it differently Chariots. As soon as I saw it live I knew he'd be gone. Not super viscious but enough for a week.
Cripps definitely a 2 weeker. Can’t keep using the Rioli one as a precedence. Debate as to whether the corrrect decision was made on that one at the time. If he appeared tonight along side Cripps he would get at least a week.
Darling flattened the Crows player in a marking contest on Sunday. Elbows to the back of the head. That’s legal….apparently. Woosha was the master of the legal take out. Just ask Tony Modra.X_X

I reckon there’s been a few WC players playing on the edge this season, maybe a result of how things have gone.
Let’s hope frustrations don’t boil over which I reckon will be a strong possibility.

I hope so Jum, as he hasn't played for the Eagles this season

Willie hasn’t had a great season. Had a bit going on as a lot of the Eagles have.
But if Willie can get a decent run at it and with a good pre season then he makes us a much better team.
Would hate to see him playing his best footy along side his relatives tearing us apart. That would devastate me.[-O<

Bit of a flu running through the Pies camp. Will matter little as we brush the swanettes to one side, before finishing the pretenders season in round 23.

Pies by 1-9 has been very profitable this season, so that's the go on Sunday.

Anyone interested in a ball I won at the casino on the weekend? Game day ball signed by Shuey and Natanui.... no takers, the dog gets it to exercise the jaws.
