Be interesting to see if north's tank this week against Gold Coast.

when bottom of the ladder and 1st draft pick is up for grabs... will they go for the honorable victory... just to show that they have a bit of fight... or will they tank and go for the draft pick?

If I were clarkson.... AND I was contemplating coming to Norths...I'd be telling them I'm only coming if you finish bottom of the ladder.

Bigger question is will they be in Melbourne or Hobart

The corporates would be taking novelty bets like "most out of bounds on ghe full" "most behinds kicked" "?most 50m penalties given away" etc etc. You get my drift. :-?

Old school AFL rules that are no longer in play.

A missed handball or a missed kick. The umpire used to say “he made an attempt” so play on.
Now they call a missed kick or missed handball incorrect disposal….free kick.
A drop kick is deemed incorrect disposal…..free kick.
If a team mate snatched the ball out of the hands of a team mate it was deemed a throw.Incorrect disposal. Now it is play on.
Any hands in the back of an opponent it was automatic free kick. Now you can put both hands in the back of an opponent…..if you are holding your ground.
No wonder umpiring AFL is the hardest job in the world. ~X(

Lions got bullied and mugged and then blew up...."nice" home and away team but not even close to being finals competitive, Melbourne hard edged and aggro at the pill.

    Mugged being the operative word.
Appears to me and has done for a while umpiring of teams travelling interstate are heavily favoured in the first half then evens up in second half.
Few years back there were a lot of complaints regarding “crowd” free kicks, hate to think AFL have instructed accordingly.
    Never !!!

    Jackson Nelson’s farewell game today?
Surely never pulls on an AFL jumper again.

I'd like to think Jason Horne-Francis might have reached out to Jack Silvagni to remind him of his 7 AFL seasons now without a finals appearances.

The above may all be true but I would hate to be playing Carlton in 12 months time.
Second season under Voss and no doubt they will get their injuries sorted over summer.
    2023 big year for Carlton.

Love seeing the likes of Dickead King pull teams apart after a narrow loss.
Saw some footage last night put forward by Johnno Brown. Pendlebury was only where he was because he thought the game was over.
    No science involved, complete luck.
