its huge in singapore, they used to also race in malaysia, kl, ipoh etc.

From what I have been told, Citybet has destroyed the tote turnover in Singapore , so the gov are not getting a return .

Following the deaths of 12 horses at Churchill Downs in Kentucky, racing has been suspended earlier than usual to allow an investigation into the track surface to see if that is the root cause. This may change the landscape of American Racing in years to come.

Gvmt have shown no support for horse racing in Spore, once the casino went in is bye bye turf club.

When u put monkeys in charge u end up with peanuts. CEO Irene Lim knew in year 2022 that the Turf Club is closing but not a word to the participants. Trainers received a sms on monday morning to come to a meeting at the turfclub, they were told of the decision then. At the same meeting 15 flabbergasted trainers walked out in anger when Lim let slip that she did not know that the trainers are not the owners of the horses in their stables.
