Decent effort by the gulls. Did their best parking the bus. Class told out in the end. 2 very poor pens given away, both attacking players running away from goals. No need to give them the chop.

I'm told Rockdale is a very well organised club from grass roots to 1st grade.

Sorrento did well to hang on. They would have slept well.

Rockdale up until a few weeks back were doing pretty ordinary in their league (from memory). They took a decent bit of confidence out of making the ffa cup and now they are winning most of their games. Good on em. Was cheering for them last nite, not a fan of the so called "azzuri"

"Shane Smeltz, the ex-Perth glory striker and leading scorer at nib Stadium, expertly sent ‘keeper James Morgan the wrong way for an early lead."
"But this time Morgan read Smeltz perfectly, diving to his right to bat-away the penalty and keep Sorrento in the contest"

whoever wrote the article has no idea about the players obviously!! James Morgan is not the keeper I am pretty certain of that :-q

I managed to get there (missed the first goal) and it was a fun night. Great concept.

hahaha. I have given him a fair few sprays over the fence a number of times. He plays the Roy Keane role nicely, hard nut!!! Spends a bit of time out suspended and the team isn't the same without him.

Interesting to see if that get a chance to hold it and if they get a crowd along. Be nice to get some silverware! Might help them finally start to rebuild a bit of faith in the community. With the squad they have i'm expecting a long year but you never know, so much of it is above the shoulders in professional sport nowdays.

How can they do that after their first two games!?!?!!?!?!?
    :-??

thought they were goign to struggle to get goals this year, but its been their defence that has made some really bad decisions..if that tightens up and they keep scoring they may end up in the middle of the pack.

Will the FAA cup be here??

    Not sure  :-??

Will have to wait until next Wednesday night when Hume City FC play Melbourne Victory in the other semi final.

If Melbourne Victory make the final, I would think Football Australia would want the final to be played in Melbourne, where they would more than likely get a bigger crowd.

Going by the Glory attendances so far I would say Hume City are a chance of getting a better crowd. Or at least creating some atmosphere for TV viewers.
