Ridiculous rule of when changing bosses you can't ride for 6 weeks.

    Fairly obvious I would think.

A blanket rule that bans an apprentice just because they change bosses make no sense.

Does the rule assume the apprentice changing bosses has behavioral issues?

Would suggest some apprentice changes would be because of a lack of support.

If the same logic was applied maybe the previous boss should get a 6 week ban as well.

didn't Duncan Miller change bosses, or got changed for him, but cannot recall him not riding for 6 weeks because of it.

isn't there a "changeling" at Durrants?

Thinking the answer to the reasons is in your post somewhere.

Highly unfair on say an apprentice not getting a fair go by a master, and then basically getting a 6 week suspension when just trying to get better opportunties

I think if a person walks out of an apprentiship there may be actions put in place, such as what has happened

A good young jockey. With Shooter riding in the form he has been in for the Wolfe stable its hard for Wolfey not to put him on. I'm with @ever ready on this one, Albany season over Shooter firing with both barrels. It probably was a no brainier
