Breeding

Does anyone pay attention to the APEX ratings? Am trying to get my head around the algorithm involved as i have heard this is the best way to check a stallions ability. Currently War Chant tops the list for WA followed by Alfred Nobel.

Could someone explain how they work these stats out??

In simple terms it adjusts sire tables to factor in the number and quality of mares a stallion has covered, where the progeny are racing and the opportunities that presents etc.
    (As I understand it).
How the actual math works on that...... got me.

Cheers for that. That makes a bit more sense. I can’t figure out how they base it on 150 starters when Alfred Nobel has only had 80ish
