On a day when the Perth Cup should be run ( unbelievably isn't 8-| ) we can still rely on the tradition and holiday atmosphere of the Busselton trot meeting.
If this evening can half measure up to night one, will be in for a meeting of open races, tactics, luck in running and the main skill - getting away safely from the stand.
Victoria threw away standing starts - long live the Busso round and the art of standing starts.
Shannon Suvaljko should get a winner or two, however after giving him the big wrap from the other night can sometimes mean doom! But am sure will give nearly all of them every chance.
A very even bunch of horses at Busselton, could throw a tea towel over the lot of them - that's also what makes it so entertaining.
Leave the ubiquitous word ''turnover'' behind and bring on the fun and enjoyment of the Busselton monthly round.

The front running drive - not bad either. The second horse home from the breeze that might be worth following for the next meeting.

Shannon Suvaljko over the first two nights of the carnival.
12 drives - 7 winners, 3 seconds, one third, one unplaced. 11/12 in top three.
Add long priced winners and place getters at GP - he's smokin!
Joe Suvaljko wins the last and a Suvaljko quinella. Can't beat 'em.

Had a look at the breeding on a few last night - an Elsu, Christian Cullen and a handy horse from Victoria - Safari, all sired runners. Three beauties.
Think Christian Cullen may have been controversially scratched from a Miracle Mile about 40 mins before start time, when a raging hot favourite. Not sure now if it was him or not. Pretty sure was a Kiwi horse.

Or run them at night in summer and day in winter.
Gloucester Park - a perfect location to run daylight Sunday meetings on sunny crisp winters days.

Also if his drive is a little scratchy early it's only for a fraction of a second, then has it into its gear accelerating. Must be in the hands or something.
Also not forgetting he does drive for one trainer who is an expert in standing start barrier manners.

Lose track of the laps now especially over the 2400, a marathon would be interesting.

Brian Hancock had so many fancied horses year in year out in the MM - but they never fired a shot - never looked likely . And some drivers had the wood on others when it mattered - like Vic Frost used to dominate Hancock - Vic would have the luck and BPH would have none
Similar with Gavin Lang and FRK - they just couldnt win the Inter Dom Pacers Final
