Very much looking forward to race eight the trotters race today, a race between three good ones and with the way the barrier draw has gone will be interesting.
Sunnys Little Whiz from gate 1. Sonoflindenny 5. Son Of Anarchy 10.
He's got the shocker of a draw Son Of Anarchy but was impressive last week when driven aggressively and grinded out a terrific win.
Sunnys Little Whiz even though just 4th first up from a spell was a good run when pressured strongly and fought on well. Gate 1 today.
Sonoflindenny - very consistent - C. Lewis.
The trotters can do the dipsy doodle but look for these three to dominate the placings. Should be close to 1,2,3 or at worst 1,2.
Balmoral Boy and Tenno Show also place hopes. The rest 100/1.
For me in order it's Son Of Anarchy - Sunnys Little Whiz - Sunoflindenny. But only a breathe between the three.

Much better run Stunnin Eyes Only - always had a fraction of ability and sometimes shows it. Put value into the first four ( bless her ). Well driven too. $16 a drum tote and $5 fixed.
Starlight Destiny looked a threat on the corner - just a battling run. Seen her been slightly dissapointing a couple of times now.

He's not the dashing driver of the 80s and 90s - experience in the noggin it must be. To think that guy was bringing them home when I was carrying the tranny radio to listen to them in skool. That's going back along time.

The first 50 metres will be interesting Sunnys Little Whiz, Tenno Show and Balmoral Boy should contest it early.
This race will be a humdinger if they all trot! Last week Justin Prentice drove Son Of Anarchy with confidence. Sunnys from the one looks no pushover this time - and Sonoflindenny has Lewis and it's a good trotter too.
Sunnys and Son Of Anarchy every hope just the same.

Tenno Show can either trot without a care in the world - or bubbles badly. Kell Road Kid - must know her way to Pinjarra by herself. Wouldn't be a trotters race at Pinjarra without the grey being there.
But the old grey mare she ain't what she use to be.

Daresay if she could have got behind the leader instead of three back she goes very close to running a place.
Was not helped when the winner was a little bit scratchy early which enabled the the second place getter a crack for the lead and then opened up a little gap to duck in behind just before Carly could grab it.
Would say a better than 50% place chance if could have got that spot.
That would have left the second horse in the breeze with her behind the fave, it's a big difference and Carly may have run third or a fourth at worst.

Amazing stuff really.
Of Auld Aberdeen what a legend he was, it was the beginning.
Someone else might know but can't recall ever a trainer in WA (or Australia ) who would have backed horses up so often.
Recall seeing Digger Of Fortune win a weak race in Melbourne on a Sunday - if somebody had then explained what that horse would achieve when coming to WA - would have said no way.
No knock though - always 100% wary of them. Couldn't possibly be on Vincenzo today but not totally surprised either - seen it happen too often before.
Mark Reed too - he may suit these horses - he's always been a good driver can sit or really hustle and bustle them along - which Svilicich trained horses seem to like.
Next run Vincenzo could win again - could run last. One thing definite though - won't have to wait long to find out.
In running the other night at Northam - Mr Mojito was looking pretty good for a place at long odds and again Mark Reed.
He wasn't going very fast, but the ones coming wide begin to flounder and the ground saved on the pegs proves invaluable.

But i can remember a couple of years ago - what was quite regular at Pt Pirie - is that horses would have 2 starts in the one night
They would run the heats earlier in the night - and the final later in the night
Many years ago in the gallops - that wasnt uncommon - i dont know if it is allowed now - but if someone did that a metropolitan gallops track - then the animal welfare mob would be all over it
