Rated 49 POINTS below and only receives 3.5kg
Why do the powers to be allow such horses to be accepted into races like this.

It's a pity though they just can't get the bigger field with the good horses, there's just not that depth.
If Not Again Ken runs 1, 2, 3 I'll do 10 push ups in front of the winning post.
Considering my average is zero, that'll be a challenge!

The top 2 should be the easiest quinella since Labor/Liberal.
Bet365 has Gatting 100/1 for the Cox Plate which at least is more preferable than the 50/1 they have about Galaxy Star 8-|
I think they'd rather have that than not enough acceptors and have to cancel the race
For the life of me can't remember it's name, on the tip of the tongue but won't come, it was a deceiver of a stayer, but by now was totally convinced it was just no good, anyway with all bets on, they jump away and by the time got to about the furlong could see this thing looming up, I might be in a wee bit of trouble here.
Coming closer to the line, make that a lot of trouble, the knock horse gets up and wins at 25/1, their was complete silence then all the heads turned around looking for one person, the best way to describe it was like the natives chasing Indiana Jones, as I made a hasty retreat out the door!
It's bad enough knocking a favourite that wins but to pick on a 25/1 chance and see it win...that's the dizzy limit.

First Come Play With Me - goes into to win Group One Metropolitan - Royal Randwick.
Second Gatting - picks up Group One Makybe Diva - Headquarters Flemington.
Third Eye Art - she has since run second and tenth.
Fourth Mr Alby - he came out and won his following start ( what a good thing! ) but next four runs 13th, 5th, 4th and 9th.
Fifth I'm A Love Man has done very little since, four unplaced runs until running second at Toodyay recently. Entered for York this week.
6th Inject The Venom - struggled since until running a slashing 4th at 25/1 in the Kalgoorlie Cup.
7th Not Again Ken - the ghostly grey has since bobbed up for a win in between some miserable form. He ran 15th of 15 at his following run then next start won! Followed up by another two unplaced efforts.
That's the seven - from Group One victories and other wins ( Mr. Alby & Not Again Ken ) to unplaced runs and last placing's to Kalgoorlie and Toodyay!
Never seen anything like it, Boom Time - Gatting - Black Heart Bart ( at 9yrs. ) - Come Play With Me - three of them win Group Ones at 50/1 and better, CPWM about 10/1.
$1 all up win in round figures $5,202,510 to 1. Yes over 5.2 million to one, would've cashed out after Boom Time!
The other WA runner up Beaux Art - liked her a lot, she was outstanding. Not forgetting also a Perth horse that was owned by Bob Peters and was backed at massive odds for months leading into the Caulfield Cup and you wouldn't believe it, he's gone down in a photo finish by a nose - Congressman.

If they reckon the ( overrated ) lead up run of Yucatan was good then Alcopop was just as impressive.
At the other end the real battlers - from maidens who'll never break maiden status through to your I'm A Love Man, Mr Alby types. There's a thousand of them.
Now it's the next lot in the middle that interest - on there day ( eg He's A Parker beating CPWM twice ) you could a throw a tea towel over the lot of them.
Explaining why Prince Of Penzance can win a MC at 100/1, Gatting at 100/1 the list is endless, Tears I Cry 100/1 and so on. CPWM to a Metrop win whilst He's A Parker can't fire a shot - yet on his day He's A Parker was excellent and good enough to beat CPWM.
The champs are obvious, the battlers obvious, it's the group in the middle that are very very even.
Which leads to the punt - betting against champions - good luck, took on Vo Rogue one day and am still paying that off, or bet on the champs to win at $1.10 or any odds on quote, worst bet type - backing odds on favourite's - a lot on to win a little.
Or betting on maidens ( done it a million times ) and Mr Alby type races - can specialise in them but good luck just the same.
The best races to bet on - those good horses in the middle - not champions in the true sense of the word, but on there day, are very smart. That's where the value is!
