Went looking for the usual three heats and could only find the two, keen to see how Colt Thirty One goes, tough draw out in eight, he's quite a decent place price with a few, and will be interesting to see what odds a drum on the tote, good luck to San Carlo too but both will find it tough to contend with the barrage of stablemates running against them.

In heat two don't mind one for a place called Triple Eight. Atomic Red goes around in that heat for Amanda Turnbull.

$1.70 a place San Carlo....Bling it on favorite from the visitors draw.....Colt 31 the same.....Much as I love the Inters, the 4YO classic at GP puts the heats in the shade. Is there a more overated horse than San Carlo? The Mexicans never stop talking him up.

    Spot on JJ.
I love the Inters but am far more interested in the 4yo Classic & Bunbury Cup this weekend to take too much notice of the Inters especially with no WA representation.
As for San Carlo there is one Vic media man who is infatuated with him, he has to be close to the most talked about pacer (by this one bloke) I can remember in the last 40 years who has barely done anything outside his home state.

    Colt 31 was very good
If he draws a gate will be going very close to winning

Finally got around to seeing a replay of first heat - couldn't agree more, teriffic run Colt Thirty Three. No luck and wide, finished off well from a mile back.

Ultimate Sniper looks the goods too. San Carlo - breeze and gonski, battled away ok, but don't take anything less than 200/1 about it winning the final.

Only four runners under 10/1 for the final - and those four all from the same stable. Colt Thirty One next best. How can they possibly be beaten.

The difficulty for C31 will be making the final, but if he does Grant Dixon would need his greatest drive ever, 4 top line stablemates against you, much luck will be needed.

    Then FTR. Forget the rest!

Second round of heats - Colt Thirty One from gate 5 and following heat San Carlo from gate one, look out @VK!

Should lead, but then then Ultimate Sniper straight to its outside. Bling It On behind San Carlo.

Surely Colt 31 has a crack for the front needing points and the fav in 1 happy to just bank some more sitting on him
  • GilgameshGilgamesh    4,716 posts
Also triple eight to push forward then sit on the sniper seems a great 1by3 bet to me. Just don’t think SAN Carlo can make it to the sprint lane so take out him and bling it on

As soon as saw gate 5 for C31 thought possibly just one problem - being caught between a rock and a hard place, and yep couldn't go forward and couldn't go back.

Think now all eyes on him for the Consolation Final - luck has to turn sometime. That's if he makes the Consolation!

@Ridersonthestorm33 the Vic superstar San Carlo having drawn 1 has his chance to show us all how good JB keeps telling us week after week he is tonight- no excuses!

AG's White Socks has well and truly sewn up his place in the final with his second heat win from 2, he was 100/1 to win the Inters Final in the early markets apparently.

How's that for the All Stars - they have the first four in betting for the final and now the fifth fave is out. Not that they can lose it anyway.

Very good driver Maurice McKendry they call him "the magic man", he is exceptional alright.

San Carlo to lead - Ultimate Sniper up to the breeze, Bling It On sprint lane...should go like that, which will mean it won't.

Very good driver Grant Dixon but it ain't Tuesday afternoon at Redcliffe out there! Not that was his fault, just the luck of the draw - literally.

Could you imagine any Kiwi drivers doing a favour for any Aussie horse, reminds me of a guy with the words on the back of his Tshirt saw one day...

"I love NZ and anybody who beats Australia."

Had to smile at that one.

Notice the NZ tipster on Tabtouch can't find a placing for San Carlo or Bling It On, they like us a lot! He maybe right, but think they should be both in the finish.

Three back the pegs San Carlo, goodness gracious, you're on the mark VK...not in the same ball bark.

There raving on how good Bling It On - was it really finishing that hard ? Was in a shocking spot, but was always going to finish off along the pegs. San Carlo - Consolation Final.

VK - can just hear it now - no luck for San Carlo, should've made the final and what's more could've won it, he's proved he's up to the best of them and terrific driving, just didn't get the breaks....

Summation of night two for the Pacers and Trotter's.
    On speed domination.
Ultimate Sniper the one to beat in the Inters Pacing Final.
Shocking night for Australia, luck ( bad ) and not up to it for the pacers and trotter's couldn't have gone much worse.

Imagine the final - Ultimate Sniper with Cruz Bromac, The Fixer and Chase Auckland as handy back up.

Riders I am not knocking the horse at all San Carlo is a nice Vic Fast Class horse but certainly not in the stratosphere his fan club JB has him at.
It is a bit like from our era in the 80s someone like a Russell Betts overly talking up very good WA fast class types in Gap Road, Rite or Elteei when you had the likes of Pure Steel, San Simeon, Preux Chevalier & Village Kid racing at around the same time who were just infinitely better!

San Carlo still a chance to make the final, think a top 5 or 6 placing in third heat will get him in. Bling It On should make it too. But curtains for C31, should be the best of good things in the Consolation final.

Suppose I agree could be compared to WA with battlers competing against high priced imports from NZ for the past 20 years.

We want value in the final...first four value! Going to check out which roughies if any can run third or fourth, one of them might be San Carlo.

The Victorian boys still boosting the chances! Was just 20/1 the other day, try 200/1.

See Ultimate Sniper just $1.40 on the Corps, they must have held barrier draw.

No market up on Tabtouch - they bet the worst odds and always the slowest to get market up.

Is it BetEasy who work out the odds and then odds are shaved on Tabtouch - who then in turn sometimes give "inflated odds" or "boosted odds" just to match back what the odds should've been in the first place.

    It's a marketing gimmick that's been around since 72BC.

Good work JJ that was fast, OK the Sniper just works his way to the front, and race all over.
