Time honoured Fremantle Cup night at Headquarters but don't forget Bonny Busselton! Just the six races and a very competitive maximum ten runners over the 2400 in race three a highlight. Investing on the Quaddies - early and late, the late one begins in race three.

Here goes...
Race 1: Seven starters but a tough race in the early Quaddie am taking six of them 1,2,4,5,6,7. Should still be in it!

Race 2: Seven starters again but at least this time just the four winning hopes 2,3,4,7.

Race 3: Ten to go around a ripper of a race - 1,3,5,9,10.

Race 4: Just putting in the three of them 1, 2, 3 and quite keen on 1,2

Race 5: Tough one and not over wrapped in any, but just taking two of them - 2 & 7.

Race 6: good race to finish the night - 3, 6, 7, 8.

Quaddie Donations...
Early quaddie 6 x 4 x 5 x 3 = $36 for 10%.

Late quaddie 5 x 3 x 2 x 4 = $36 for 30%.

Mondooley Mach and Allthewaytoroyalty hopefully the stablemates run well again, both good efforts previous meeting.

Mondooley just needs that flyer off the mark.

My nemesis Riders MM ran second Tuesday at Northam, has returned some value in past 3 starts.

Very disappointing fields. Participants have not supported the meeting.

Falling horse population, falling participant numbers, conditions on eligibility for races, outcomes of the new NBM, Helen Keller could have predicted what would happen after the first meeting.......damned if you do go there, damned if you don't go there...to apply a broad brushstroke such as "participants have not supported the meeting" is in my view a shallow and incorrect assertion.

JayJay we keep hearing that participants want to compete at their preferred level but that is not always the case.

Keep up your crusade who knows, someone may eventually listen.

Field sizes still outnumber some of the GP "prime" Tuesday meetings held this season that provide the gloriously incentivated stakemonies

Keep the heads in the sand though...how many non renewals of licences this year was it again?

People aren't stupid...they realise the $4.5 K races are a poor option in most cases ....and they are expected to be grateful to receive such cumulative largesse.

    Please....it is pathetic

Conditions for the RBD 2400m stand $4500 at Busso:

    HWOE $6, 000+ HANDICAP STAND
    (CONCESSIONS CLAIMS ELIGIBLE)
    Preference to HWOE $6, 000+ (Level 4)
    Busselton Field Selection Preferences Apply
(Concessions for Novice Driver, Fillies & Mares)
Field for each handicap mark to be selected on L5$ in ascending order
with preference to be given to: (1) Pacers with 5+ WA starts, (2) Pacers
with LT 5 WA starts in descending number of starts.

    Busselton Field Selection Policy
The over-riding philosophy for the conduct of Community races-meetings is that they should cater for horses which find it difficult to be competitive on higher circuits. Busselton is unique in that it is a Standing Start venue only therefore warranting special consideration. Fields for Busselton only will be selected in accordance with the following:
Preference in field selection will be given to Horses with L5$ LT$5,500 with the balance of the field to be selected on L5$ in ascending order(i.e. lowest to highest). This preference applies to each handicap mark.A horse cleared from another jurisdiction with $0 stake-money in their unplaced non-WA starts within their L5, will be deemed to have earned $100 Unplaced Stakes for each such start. A horse which has:1.Won 2 or more races with Stakes >$4,500 in their last 10 starts,2.Won 1 or more race(s) with stakes >$14,999 in their last 10 starts,3.Been placed in 1 or more race(s) with stakes >$14,999 in their last 5 starts, will not be selected ahead of a horse which has not. As part of a rotation some race fields, for each handicap mark, will be selected entirely on L5$ in ascending order with horses with 5+ WA starts selected first then horses with LT 5 WA starts in descending number of starts. This policy will become effective as of 14thNovember 2019.

Got any racing at the moment Chariots? Pretty simple process to place them after reading through that labrynth. Your crusade of throwing pies can continue unabated, water off a ducks back and no, I don't expect too many will listen, especially your good self. I'll just concentrate on trying to race and place my horses as best I can in a system which is progressively draining horses and participants out the back door.

Looking forward to race 2 - can the super inform Euphoric Moment get the chocolates off 40 metres ? Think three huge dangers all off the front line - Allthewaytoroyalty, I Am Immortal and American Voodoo.

placing horses a key component of racing ,HWOE level can limit the options available due to not being able to use concessions ,there must be quite a few that are only marginally above a claimable level ie concessions 31,500 and the HWOE of 32,000 has no races able to claim into yet higher graded $46.5k horses can claim into the LT$40k ,When asking if stands would be any better

It is always nice to have the stand option if the horse can handle it but the way
concessions are at the moment it would be of no advantage to him.

hence cant claim in a stand to any advantage either ,so re horses racing at there preferred level sometimes options are limited by the programming and conditions set ,horses are having to race in the level they are in with no options for concessions to race in a preferred lower level as it is not available to them with no advantage given with GPPBD barrier systems if using a concession driver results in less drives for the juniors if they are only used on claimable horses.

nominating is easy just a click of the button but truly placing your horse can take time and consideration of many factors and options sometimes seem limited ,for the system to not allow all horses to be able to claim back somewhere in the programmed races may need a bit of work on but have to work with what we have been given and I think a lot of trainers including myself have given this system a fair go ,is there ever going to be consultation with the industry to gauge the opinions of the participants as to their views on the CRS who knows .Just got to keep going around and try to earn a quid .

I hear what you are saying. I have a horse that is lost to the new system. Hes never won a metro race, but since he won a country race went over the under 40k HWOE and subsequently goes to next bracket up in town to get beat up by M2/M3s. In the country, we HAVE to use a jnr to try and get him into 40k under (with concession). I think hes won 1 race in two years, so no real love for him anymore.

and to enter the level racing ie L5 LT$8k etc I find it hard to get to the meetings that have them programmed ,even if I could you still come up against those fulltime in the industry that are able to use that system and have already dropped in class so your still up against it either way

On a more positive note and back to the original topic Riders here we go
Race 1 can't split the 6&7 but going for Caprain Proud simply due to the driver.
Race 2 Euphoric Moment by half the straight, has to gallop to lose.
Race 3 Sammys Ideal gets a run through at the start should be too good, Happy As big run last week could finish out exacta.
Race 4 Madam of Mischief just has to get away sit quietly in the breeze and should win, unlucky last start deserved to win.
Race 5 The Boxer gets his chance, Cyclone North not a bad run lat week.
Race 6 Salome Miss if it steps and gets to the breeze early over short trip will be very hard to beat.
Good luck to all here's to some returns.

Agree with Curmudgeon get rid of the ridiculous GP meetings midweek (you can't bet on half the races) give them to outer tracks and put the stakes up.
Then the horses will turn up.

Not so sure about Euphoric Moment off the 40, definetly the one to beat but whoever leads out of Royal, Immortal or Voodoo - look out! Looks a safe quinella those four and extra on those three with Euphoric Moment.

Madam Of Mishief and Cougar in the fourth - keen on both, and don't be surprised if Tia Amo Bella can step away and possibly get behind the leader would be nice, don't write her off. She's a battler though, like most.

Sammy did the job for the boys last week...but maybe a bit tougher this week, thought a little tired on the line the other night, but had it sewn up at the bell. Driven with confidence too. Definitely including in quad, but think a little risky off the 20.

Agree Freo Salome looks super hard to beat in the lucky last and a horse off the front line did a power of work last week Cherokee Chance could be the smokey. Fight Song the other major chance, won well last week and looks a Busselton specialist.

Have included Ohaka Damo in quaddie too, but think he's the "weak link" but not game enough to leave out, might be the blowout.

Salome Miss it is the Riders bet of the night although might have to wait for gilga to wake up with some weird **** tip.
Will give you 10 to 1 on the rest of the field Euphoric Moment best horse in Busso at the moment.
Can't wait til he meets that horse that can only run a quarter (yes jj got us) and I will not let him forget it.

After all the tips are in it will be more interesting than the Freo Cup.

At least none have to reply on an airplane to get there!

Couldn't have been more impressed with Euphoric Moment, but just got a feeling 2, 3, or 4 might steal it.

Who's unbeaten at Busselton so far ...am thinking Awaitinginstructions, Fight Song, Euphoric Moment...any more ? Those who have started twice that is...

Imagine match race My Field Marshall and Alta Orlando - Busselton 2400 metre stand, Alto with a 10 metre head start - game on!

Should've been more match racing ( since the successful Pure Steel v Satinover) there's hardly been any.

...and better still @freo... have your Euphoric Moment as a local Busso horse in there as well...with a 120 metre head start!

Early markets out for tonight - Euphoric Moment $1.45 off the 40 metre handicap.

First race is very wide open with Bandar opening up favourite at just over 2/1 ( $3 ). If leads the one paced grinder will be a difficult horse to get past but good luck taking 2/1 about it!

Cherokee Chance in the lucky last @$16 and $3 might be the smokey of the night, also Hoiho opened up at big odds of $21 might be another good outsider if he can step away ok.

Hopefully Captain Proud might show a return to form, had a scintillating burst at the last round, but the ten year old a fraction off his game this carnival...tonight might the night he makes another breakthrough....seven runners and no surprise to see anyone of six win it.

Tipped Happy As last week got polaxed at the start gave Carramar Philemon 60 metres at the start and ran home out wide over 2040 mtrs into 4th, 16 mtrs from winner.
Inexperienced driver tonight but if he gets a bit of luck he will be all over them.
50s and 7s fixed my roughie for busso tonight.
