    There's clearly no smoking gun linking the trainer to anything other than carelessness otherwise he probably would get life.

    The previous betting activity on Betfair is the evidence but linking him directly is the issue. Another example of why it should be illegal to bet on horses not to win.

    The betting move is proof that where there's smoke there's fire so I'm not sure why they'd deliberately try this? The bettor in this instance isn't the one who copped the penalty.  But what's to stop a bookie colluding with a trainer in the exact same manner after laying a horse?
